Mr. Givan may hide but he cannot escape

Mr. Paul Givan

The following is a report from the ‘Belfast Telegraph’, 30th November, 2021.

The “Irish News” and the “BBC” carried similar reports in which there were a number of misleading statements made about myself. The “Irish News” reporter, when notified of them, kindly apologised for the errors and for calling me on the Lord’s Day for an interview. I await the BBC’s response!

This report from the ‘Belfast Telegraph’ serves to verify my condemnation of Mr Girvan’s actions in my statement on his attendance at the ecumenical service, published on 25th November and entitled: “Statement regarding Mr. Paul Givan’s attendance at Armagh service”. In it I said that Paul Givan, who was then a member of the Free Presbyterian Church, was wrong in his attendance at the service  The service was led by the leaders of the Roman Catholic church, the Presbyterian and Methodist churches and the Church of Ireland, deniers of God’s Word one and all! Dr. Paul Ferguson - The Death of Moses

On November 28, 2021, Kilskeery FPC had a visit from Dr Paul Ferguson, son of Rev Gordon Ferguson. Dr Ferguson is the minister of Cornerstone Church, Singapore. It is a Presbyterian and Reformed and separated Church.

The Ferguson family have long links with the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster, dating back to the late 1960s when family members (the family home was some 7 miles away) started attending Lisbellaw FPC.

Dr Ferguson preached two wonderful sermons during his visit to Kilskeery. The morning message was titled ‘The death of Moses - the end of an era’.

It was received with thanksgiving by the flock and was so appropriate in its application to all.

Unknown to any of us at the start of the service was the sad news of the happy home call of Mrs Ivy Hunter, a beloved sister of our senior elder, Mr Jackie Neville.

Mrs Hunter was saved and unexpectedly she passed away in her sleep in the early hours of the Sabbath. She was 89 years old and was saved many years ago.

How appropriate was the message for a grieving brother!

I know that you will enjoy and benefit from what I consider one of the best sermons I have heard for quite some time.

Rev. Ivan Foster

Portstewart: Seawall scripture 'may breach equality rules’

I cannot forbear drawing this matter, which I have just become aware of, to your attention that you might make it a matter of prayer and protest, if you live in the area mentioned.

This BBC headline is most shameful and indicates how ‘politically correctness’ has taken the place of the commands of God as the rule of life and behaviour.

Portstewart: Seawall scripture ‘may breach equality rules’

As you read this report you will see that in truth, God is not allowed to speak in this land! His voice and Word is not to be tolerated. Click to read more…

New facts about the vaccine

Here is a link to a very disturbing article in “Christian Watch”. The introduction to the article states:

“Disturbing data from the Office for National Statistics reveal that deaths from all causes of those vaccinated in the 10-59 age group are running at around twice those among their unvaccinated age-mates. At the same time, unexplained excess deaths are higher than normal. What is going on? Are the vaccines themselves killing previously healthy people? You won’t find this story in the mainstream media.”

Here is the link to that article.

It is but further evidence of God’s hand of judgment upon the land and is NOT evidence of some man-made conspiracy, so fondly promoted by some foolish people who care nothing for what the Bible says on such matters!

Sincerely in our Saviour’s name,

Ivan Foster

Thoughts on the history of professing Christianity, Part 6

We continue with extracts from Benjamin Wills Newton’s book, Prospects of the Ten Kingdoms, the chapter 6 — THOUGHTS ON THE HISTORY OF PROFESSING CHRISTIANITY, AS GIVEN IN THE PARABLES OF MATTHEW XIII.

I would commend a close reading of these extracts for they deal with the very issue of ‘decay within Christendom’ that we see all around.

Here is Part 6, which covers pages 169-174.

In recognising this, they recognised the principle on which Christ had ever acted. The parable speaks of  “treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.” The outward professing body was not “the treasure” for which Christ resigned all in order to buy both it and the spot in which it was hidden-that is, this earth. “The treasure” which He valued were His elect — His own believing people to whom alone the holy name and standing of the Church properly pertained. This was the principle of Christ; and the real strength of the Protestant Reformation was in cleaving to this principle, and practically giving it effect. It was the true power of its earlier testimony; and whenever in later times the distinction between the elect Church and the corrupt professing body has been faithfully recognised, there has seldom been wanting a measure of the Divine blessing.* Click to read more…

A heart-breaking report

little Arthur Labinjo-Hughes

“Nobody loves me” — the heart-rending cry of a little boy!

One of the most tragic reports, of which there are ever so many in these wicked days, appeared in a number of news reports in very recent days. Accompanying the report was a video taken from the babycam in the little one’s bedroom which shows the poor wee child crying and lamenting that ‘no one loves me’.

Harrowing baby-cam footage at trial

When I watched the video and every time I think of it since, my heart has ached and melted for that poor little boy, wee Arthur Labinjo-Hughes, 6.

The video is actually of him but hours before he was murdered. Thomas Hughes, 29, and Emma Tustin, 32, are accused of killing the young boy at their home in Solihull, West Mids.

When I related the story to the children in Kilskeery Christian School yesterday, as an illustration of what happens in a nation that turns its back on the gospel, unsurprisingly there were tears amongst the children!

My heart grieves for the sufferings this child endured. How good it would have been to be able to tell him, ‘Yes there is someone Who loves you. The Lord Jesus loves you.’ Click to read more…

A most persistent plague? Heaven's continuing frown!

Despite the many repeated, boastful pronouncements by government ministers, the ‘demise’ of Covid-19 is NOT about to happen.

Instead, if we carefully read ‘between the lines’ we will find there that there is something very ‘supernatural about this plague!

I believe, with many other Christians, that it is a judgment sent of God upon nations that have openly defied and departed from His truth. As such, no measure taken by men will overcome it!

The Egyptians may have found some measure of comfort by the ‘power’ displayed by the magicians during the first judgment God sent upon Egypt (Exodus 7:22) but that comfort was short lived as God’s judgment intensified.

There has been no addressing or acknowledging of the anger of God toward our land because of its sin. Therefore the plague must inevitably continue. Click to read more…

A case of misquoting the Lord and of misdirecting men

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane [and] vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness,” 2 Timothy 2:15-16.

The phrase ‘rightly dividing the word of truth’ simply means ‘to make straight and smooth, to handle aright, to teach the truth directly and correctly’. Paul refers to a ‘workman’ and it is reasonable to think that when he is directed of the Spirit of God to use a phrase that carries the meaning embodied in the Greek term, that a workman such as a carpenter or stone mason is in the mind of the apostle. My father, who was a carpenter, so often told me when I was but a lad and attempting to help him in some task: ‘measure twice and cut once!’. No one needs to heed such counsel more than one who opens his mouth to pronounce the Word of God and apply it to the hearts and minds of men.

It is easy to misapply God’s Word and thereby misrepresent the meaning of it and thus mislead and misdirect men!

I am saddened to note that such was the outcome of the words spoken by Mr Paul Givan, the First Minister in a speech he made recently in the Stormont Assembly.

A video of part of that speech has been mounted on Facebook and a copy has been circulating. It was sent to me by two friends who were asking my opinion of the words of Mr Givan for they felt that his actions did not ring true.

They are correct. Click to read more…

KICS - Tribute to Mr George McConnell, Kilkeel

Mr. George McConnell

Today, we left aside our usual Bible study with the children in order to pay tribute to a friend of mine and also of Kilskeery Independent Christian School, Mr George McConnell of Kilkeel.

Locally and throughout the Free Church he was known as ‘Mountain Road George’ to distinguish him from a fellow elder Mr ‘Book’ George McConnell.

George McConnell went to be with the Lord in the early hours of the Sabbath past.

He has entered into his eternal rest, having laid aside life’s labours.

Artificial intelligence - the beginning of Antichrist??

“ . . . and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God,” 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.

The Lord Jesus was most willing to answer the enquiries of the apostles when they asked: “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” However, it is to be noted that He began His response with these solemn words: “Take heed that no man deceive you,” Matthew 24:4.

There are few portions of God’s Word which have been more systematically subjected to attempts to distort and twist them than their teaching on the return of Christ. Men’s notions have been widely embraced by Christians with scant regard to what the Bible says. When discussing the matter with them you will be told, ‘Rev. So and So says this’ or ‘Pastor So and So said that’!

There are but a few who follow the example of the Bereans. “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so,” Acts 17:11.

Oh how many have neglected to have ‘searched the scriptures’ to test out thereby what men said about the return of Christ. Paul had to say to the church of Thessalonica: “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand,” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2. Even mere years after the beginning of the apostolic age, error was emerging about this wonderful subject.

Well, over the two millennia that have followed, the errors have multiplied despite such warning as that of the Saviour. Click to read more…

The parables of our Lord are addressed chiefly to conscience. If our consciences are perverted we shall either give no heed to the instruction, or else mistake, and probably, reverse the meaning. For example, he who conceives the honour and dignity of this present age to be according to God, and therefore well suited for His Church, will be sure to find in the parable of the “mustard seed” an encouragement to aspire after worldly greatness. He who admires the present condition and influence of professing Christianity, will not be hindered by the mere circumstance of leaven being uniformly used in the Scripture as the type of evil, from interpreting it as the symbol of the diffusiveness and diffusion of good. Parables, if they do not enlighten, blind.* Click to read more…

Canadian floods invoke thoughts of God’s judgment!

We have heard of the horrendous rain storm that hit the eastern area of British Columbia, Canada, a day or so ago.

It took place in an area some 100 miles east of Penticton where the Editor’s son Andy Foster ministers.

He provided some links to newspaper reports of the devastation wrought be the storm.

It would remind us of the judgments of God on Egypt for it is estimated that thousands of farm animals perished in the floods. Here are the links to the news reports and also today’s school study. Simple copy and paste the links into your web browser. Click to read more…

Putting away the evil of the day

Nehemiah rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem

“Ye that put far away the evil day,” Amos 6:3.

Today, I read Amos chapter three as part of my daily reading. I follow the Robert Murray M‘Cheyne’s Bible Reading Calendar, a wonderful aid to a proper reading and systematic of God’s Word which I recommend to all. It can be easily obtained as a ‘down load’ from the internet.

The chapter begins with those familiar words: “Woe to them [that are] at ease in Zion,” Amos 6:1. As I read them I could not help but think that is what afflicts us all today! There is a spirit of ‘ease’ amongst us when the very opposite ought to be the case. I always think of Nehemiah when I think of these words.

“The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace, that Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and [certain] men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province [are] in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also [is] broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned [certain] days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,” Nehemiah 1:1-4.

Without imputing any fault to Nehemiah, it is obvious that he had his state of mind and heart altered due to the report by his brother Hanani of the state of the remnant of the Jews still in Jerusalem and the condition of the city. He later explained his crestfallen state to Artaxerxes the king in the following words: “Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ sepulchres, [lieth] waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?” Nehemiah 2:3. The abominable state of national religion

“A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means;

and my people love [to have it] so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”

Jeremiah 5:30-31.

Three items of news press upon the Christian the extent of our nation’s rebellion against God.

The first is the report on the BBC news site with the headline: Gay couple receive landmark Church in Wales blessing”.

Fabiano Da Silva Duarte, left, and ‘Father’ Lee Taylor were blessed by the Bishop of St Asaph, Gregory Cameron.

As may be seen in the above picture, one is a ‘cleric’. He is a former ‘bar man’ who is originally from Bolton and is now the ‘vicar’ at St Collen’s Church in Llangollen, North Wales. He and his ‘partner’, Fabiano Da Silva Duarte, have become what is thought to be the first same-sex couple to be officially blessed by the Church in Wales. Click to read more…

“It hasn’t gone away you know!!”

Infamous words were spoken by Gerry Adams of his fellow IRA terrorists in the IRA, back in March 2011, at a Republican rally in Belfast. He said, “They haven’t gone away you know!!”

Some 10 years on, we can rejoice that his words are no longer true, irrespective of how true they were back then! Martin McGuinness is gone; Bobby Storey is gone, and so too is a myriad of other murderers whose passing took place with little publicity.

‘Where have they gone?’ I believe that if they died as they lived then each one went, as did Judas, “‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭to‭ his own‭ place‭,‭” Acts 1:25. The Bible teaches that “‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬The fearful‭, and‭ unbelieving‭, and‭ the abominable‭‭, and‭ murderers‭, and‭ whoremongers‭, and‭ sorcerers‭, and‭ idolaters‭, and‭ all‭ liars‭, shall have their‭ part‭ in‭ the lake‭ which‭ burneth‭‭ with fire‭ and‭ brimstone‭: which is‭‭ the second‭ death‭,‭” Revelation 21:8. Such a dreadful truth should make you tremble for the follies of men that caused them to reap such a terrible eternity and humbly bow before God and thank Him for His mercy in delivering us from such wickedness!‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Having said that, I wish to alter Adams’ statement by replacing two words and apply the amended statement to the Covid-19 virus which abounds in the world today. We can say with alarm: “It hasn’t gone away you know!!”

The statement is true despite the activities of men and manufacturers, propagandists and the ‘human ostriches’ who stick their heads in the sand and refuse to see the obvious. Evidence of that may be seen in the mounting infection rate throughout the United Kingdom and further afield. Click to read more…

ANNIVERSARY OF REV ROBERT BRADFORD AND KENNETH CAMPBELL MURDERS: ‘IRA’S BRUTAL CRIMES CAN’T BE WHITEWASHED’

On the 40th anniversary of the brutal IRA murder of an Ulster Unionist MP while he was carrying out constituency business, his party has said the republican terror organisation’s horrific crimes cannot be whitewashed from history.

The words of Ulster Unionist Party leader Doug Beattie are quoted large in this article and they are fine sounding. However, they prompt this one question:

IF THE IRA IS WHAT HE SAYS THEY ARE, AND WITH THAT WE WOULD AGREE, WHY IS HE AND HIS PARTY EVER SO READY TO CO-OPERATE WITH THE IRA PARTY AT STORMONT AND, IF THEY COULD, ENTER GOVERNMENT AS THEIR PARTNERS?? Click to read more…

But it may be asked, Why should not the “mustard seed” grow ? Does it not in growing, merely fulfil the law of its nature? Why then may not the Church, which like its Master is well suited to rule, and to rule supremely, why should it not rise into greatness here? The answer is, Because of the character of this present age. So long as it pleases God to permit that Satan should continue the “prince of this world;” “the ruler of the darkness of this present age,” so long must it be true that Christ’s kingdom “is not from hence,” and therefore abasement, not “the reigning as kings,” must now be the characteristics of His servants on the earth. It is a question of time. Accordingly, every principle given to the Church in its present standing below, must necessarily check its growth as to all that could promote its exaltation in the earth. The taking up our cross daily and so losing our lives in this world, the spending and being spent for others, the following Jesus of Nazareth, are principles sufficient to deprive the Church, while it adheres to them, of all governmental influence now. Besides which, the active agency of Satan is against those who really cleave to the Truth of Christ. No wonder, therefore, that they should be blighted; no wonder· that in their measure, they · should be like Him, who, although He was indeed a tender plant, worthy of being cherished under every kindly influence, yet flourished not in the earth, but was “as a root out of a dry ground.” No plant that remains in the spot where God’s Truth would keep it, can flourish here. The nourishment that God gives is for the new creation-heavenly, and not of earth. If therefore it do flourish here, it can only be by having been transplanted into other circumstances, where “the prince of this world” can foster and direct its growth, and use it when grown, for his own purposes of evil. Some comments on a horrifying report!

I have just read (11.00 am) the headlines of an article in the “Belfast Telegraph” entitled: ‘David Tweed’s daughters reveal the ‘monster’ he really was after years of sexual abuse at hands of late rugby star father’.

David Tweed was buried out of Hebron Free Presbyterian Church where he was reported to be a member. He was accepted there as a professing Christian.

It must be stated that a sinner, guilty of the most horrific wickedness may receive forgiveness and mercy from the Lord upon repentance and faith in the atoning work of Christ on the cross.

That is made plain in such portions of God’s Word as 2 Chronicles 33:9-14.

“So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, [and] to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel. And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken. Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he [was] God. Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side odidf Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.” Click to read more…

Preservation, Purification & Perdition

Greta Thunberg

A comment on the ongoing ‘Climate Change’ circus!

“But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men,” 2 Peter 3:7

As ever, we turn to the Word of God for help and enlightenment and guidance on this vexing topic which is creating hysteria amongst rulers and rabble-rousers today!

It is a case of the ‘blind leading the blind’ and the ditch awaits them both! If ever there was an example of the utter folly of man we have it in this present controversy. Those who have their finger on the ’nuclear button’ are prepared to be led on this issue by the emotion-inflaming cries of a foul-mouthed impudent Swedish eighteen-year-old one, Greta Thunberg, spouting out the results of her being indoctrinated by evolutionary notions taught in her school and by those she deems as heroes, such as David Attenborough!

Tens of thousands of her devoted teenage acolytes and others who ought to know better, have taken to the streets on UK cities and elsewhere in raucous, and sometimes riotous, demonstrations of support for this bumptious youngster. Click to read more…

Admission of Irish Republic "defacto amnesty" given to IRA

former Irish Justice Minister Michael McDowell

Terror victim describes ‘breathtaking admission’ by ex-Irish Justice Minister of defacto amnesty given to IRA

A man whose Garda father was murdered by republicans says an admission by former Irish Justice Minister Michael McDowell that his government gave a de facto amnesty to the IRA was “a breathtaking admission”.

By Philip Bradfield – Belfast Newsletter.

Former Irish Justice Minister Michael McDowell said his government granted a de facto amnesty.

Dubliner Dr Finian Fallon was speaking after Mr McDowell wrote in the Irish Times this week that Sinn Fein needs to take a “reality check” on historic prosecutions of British soldiers in light of the immunity the IRA has been given on both sides of the border. The introduction of false professors greatly, of course, affected the appearance which the Church presented to the world. A field intermingled with tares cannot appear as one in which wheat only grows. The loveliness of its aspect must be gone. Nevertheless, the corporate standing of the Churches was not thereby forfeited. They were still regarded by the Lord as worthy of being represented before Him by their original and proper symbol — “candlesticks of gold.” The steadfastness even of individual saints, although endangered, was not necessarily destroyed by the approximation of evil, however near. Neither was the executive agency of the Churches necessarily perverted ; and· it is by the acts of its executive that the character of every corporate body is determined. Holy discipline might have been exercised. Click to read more…

Christian challenge to the leaders gathered at COP26 in Glasgow

This is a letter from the Public Questions, Religion & Morals Committee of the FREE CHURCH OF SCOTLAND (CONTINUING) to the leaders of the COP26 gathering in Glasgow.

In the letter our brethren challenge the propriety of the invitation given to the Pope to attend the conference  They supply multiple reasons why this invitation  should not have been issued.

It is likely that the Bible-based arguments will be dismissed by those to whom the letter was sent, but we commend the contents of the letter to our readers for the true character of popery needs ever to be borne in mind by God’s people.

A tribute paid to Mr Basil Dane

A TRIBUTE TO MR BASIL DANE by Rev Ivan Foster, his former minister before his retirement

A TRIBUTE TO MR BASIL DANE

At his funeral service in Kilskeery FPC,  30th October, 2021.

“ His lord said unto him, Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant,” Matthew 25:21.

Faithfulness is a virtue we all here in Kilskeery would attribute to our brother Basil, now gone to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening past.

I first met Basil in 1968 when he started attending the meetings in Lisbellaw Free Presbyterian Church where I had been ordained and installed as minister back in April of that year. He had been to the Ulster Hall to hear Dr Paisley and then decided to check out the Lisbellaw meetings. He was not saved at that time but he later testified of the kindness shown to him as a stranger by my uncle, William Foster, who did ‘door duty’ in those days.

He attended for a short time and then in mid-September 1968, he sought the Lord and was saved. There are some of us who can still remember him, his boys and his little blond-haired daughter attending the meetings. Click to read more…

This service, at which Rev Jonathan Creane preached, may be viewed here.

Kilskeery FPC, Lord’s Day evening, 31st October, 2021.

She went to be with the Lord 28th August 2021.

“She hath done what she could,” Mark 14:8.

Very few funeral services may truly be called ‘A Thanksgiving Service’! The Bible clearly says that the majority depart this scene of time having lived a life, which before God, is not one for which to praise the Lord since it was lived in defiance and disobedience of God’s Word. In this dark age there seems to be no understanding whatever of what Bible Christianity is. The most wicked are commonly deemed to have gone to heaven, irrespective of how they lived or what they believed. Click to read more…

DUP somersaults on the plan to limit open-air preaching in Belfast

Alderman Kingston hypocritically makes no mention of his support at the first for the plan in his latest statement

DUP Councillors on Belfast City Council have called for a reconsideration of proposed new bye-laws which would affect buskers, street preachers, protestors and information stalls in the city centre area.

DUP Group Leader, Alderman Brian Kingston, said that the DUP would be proposing at the Council meeting on Monday, 1st November, that the matter be referred back to Committee rather than progressing on to consultation with statutory bodies. Click to read more…

Christians opposed to Belfast City Council plan to limit open-air prepare a briefing on the subject

Following on the news about the Belfast City Council’s plan to limit open-air preaching, concerned Christians have prepared a briefing on the subject.

Briefing Note: Belfast City Council

City Centre Speech Permits – October 2021

The proposal involves two key issues within city centre.

1. Permits for amplification.
2. Permits for stalls, literature, and other display materials.

Some have felt this necessary because of some complaints involving Christian and LGBT activists, pro-life groups, and buskers.

This briefing note lays out several reasons why permits are not the correct way to handle this problem. It also demonstrates some further problems speech permits will create.

Free speech as a principle

The British tradition, especially, after the Glorious Revolution has valued freedom of conscience, civil and religious liberty. This is enshrined in law and practice.

You do have a right not to be threatened by speech. However, you do not have a right to be comfortable or not offended by speech. If offence was an offence – no one would be able to speak freely. The right to offend is not just a moral right but a legal one.

The very use of the word “permit” suggests that the Council has the authority to determine free expression in the public square. No public body has the moral authority to deny rights to citizens or organisations and there is no doubt this will be tried in court.

David Attenborough - wrong from beginning to end!

HE IS WRONG ABOUT THE ‘BEGINNING’ AND HE IS ALSO WRONG ABOUT THE ‘END’!!

A headline of a report of David Attenborough’s latest climate change prediction reads: “End of the world: David Attenborough sends ‘catastrophic’ warning: ‘Not false alarm!’”

Mr Attenborough is well known for his nature programmes on television, all of which are enjoyable as long as you do not listen to his comments on the origins of the various creatures featured in them!

Attenborough is an ardent believer in ‘Evolution’, that is, the world that now is and all that is in it evolved out of a ‘beginning’ which neither he nor any of his deluded compatriots can agree on! Consequently, his programmes are filled with gratuitous misinformation and downright fairy tales.

He ‘explains’ away the wonders of God’s creation and substitutes his daft notions of the creature altering itself over countless millions of years to meet the challenges it faced. Just how, when it took so long for the creature to change in order to survive, it did not succumb to the threat long before it was able to ‘evolve’ to cope with the threat that it faced, he and his ilk never explain!

The Christian believes the Bible’s record of how things began. Genesis 1 and 2 give us full details of the supernatural origins of the physical creation and of the human race. Supportive evidence of that account is everywhere to be found. An abundance of the gatherings of that evidence may be found on hundreds, if not thousands of websites. Some are much more worthy than others it is freely acknowledged. But convincing and conclusive rebuttals of the falsehoods of ‘evolution’ may easily be found in book or website form. Thoughts on the history of professing Christianity, Part 2

Here is Part 2, which covers pages 151 to 156.

Click here to see the other articles about this book.

They are as a house swept and garnished, but empty. The truth and Spirit of Christ are not there. It is a mansion unoccupied; open therefore to be entered, as it soon will be entered, by that unclean spirit, which, after long wandering up and down, and finding no other people so suited for his designs, will, with seven other spirits more wicked than himself, again make that people his peculiar habitation. Then will be developed the full iniquity of the closing hours of our dispensation. These words have almost entirely failed to arrest the attention of real Christians. Many appear not to know that the Lord has spoken them. Else they could not as they do, “cleave to Israel with flatteries,” and tell them that they are advancing into their millennial rest, when in truth, they are fast approaching the great hour of their anti-Christian evil and final visitation from the hand of God. The chapter, however, which thus records the doom of unbelieving Israel, does not conclude without referring to another family which the Lord Jesus could, and did own as His, at the very moment when He was thus rejecting Israel. “He stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said: Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother and sister, and mother.” All, therefore, in whom the spiritual characteristics of Abraham shall be found-all who shall believe and obey, shall be owned as the family of God, whilst Israel nationally are rejected. Samuel Morrison -- "I thank God for Northern Ireland. It’s just a shame no one on Thursday could manage to say that."

This is a very good letter which was published today in ‘The Belfast Newsletter’ and is worthy to be read and circulated by all who remember with joy what the Lord did through and for our forefathers in the time of the ‘Home Rule Crisis’!

I am sorry the Queen is unwell but do not regret the fact she missed the Armagh service, which barely acknowledged Northern Ireland or its losses.

The most striking thing about the service in Armagh was the total avoidance of any suggestion by any of the church leaders that the creation of Northern Ireland was something which should be celebrated. Click to read more…

Belfast City Council to limit open-air preaching in city centre

This is an edited version of a report in the ‘Belfast Newsletter’, Saturday 23rd October, 2021.

“PSNI TO ENFORCE PREACHER PERMITS UNDER PROPOSED COUNCIL BYE LAWS AFTER COMPLAINTS ABOUT PREACHING ON LGBT ISSUES”

Belfast City Council is set to give powers to the PSNI to fine street preachers £500 if they use amplification systems without a council permit in the wider city centre.

All parties (this included the DUP – BB Editor) on the council’s Strategic Policy and Resource Committee agreed yesterday morning to approve draft bye laws that would require preachers, protestors, buskers and anyone else using amplification systems in the wider city centre to apply for a permit or be fined £500 by the PSNI or council officers. Our Reply to Gregory Campbell

Letter sent to the Belfast Newsletter, 5.35 pm, Saturday 23rd October 2021, by Rev Ivan Foster.

Sir,

In a letter to your newspaper, dated Thursday 21st October, Mr Gregory Campbell penned these words:

“Again there are those who want to abandon those values while there are others who demand that previous ways of upholding those values are the only way to proceed. The former is wrong and the latter is unsustainable.”

The ‘values’ he is referring to he identifies a few lines earlier in his letter as “a moral value system that is being attacked on a regular basis. It needs defending within the changing times we all live in.”

I assume that he is referring to the morals proclaimed by the gospel since Mr Campbell is a professing evangelical Christian. Click to read more…

Free Presbyterian Church -- Take Heed!

A very good friend in the USA sent me the link mounted below. It is a report of the compromise and the departure from God’s Word by the Presbyterian Church in America which is not yet 50 years old! It is a report to which we all should take heed.

Here is a plain warning to the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster with regards the inevitable fruit of compromise and failure to judge breaches in the standards of God’s Word by members because of a sheltering of them by compatriots due to their prominence!

SJC Rules on Complaint Against Missouri Presbytery

The Presbyterian Church of America was considered a theologically conservative U.S. evangelical Presbyterian denomination when founded in 1973. The PCA has its roots in theological controversies over liberalism in Christianity and neo-orthodoxy that had been a point of contention in the Presbyterian Church in the U. S. In December 1973, delegates, representing some 260 congregations with a combined communicant membership of over 41,000 that had left the PCUS, gathered at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama, and organised the National Presbyterian Church, which later became the Presbyterian Church in America.

However, despite being only 50 years old, it has succumbed to evil within its ranks with its latest decision to endorse the ordination of one who confesses to be ‘homosexual’. Click to read more…

Pictures of the October 21st protest at Armagh

Here are pictures of Christians protesting at the Centenary Service in Armagh yesterday (Thursday 21st).  We honour their stand taken in full view of those attending the service.

This will also refute the excuse, used by some Free Presbyterians, for not protesting against the ecumenical event and the sad betrayal of God’s truth by the First Minister, Mr Paul Givan, that such would be the security in Armagh that no protest would be possible.

May the Lord bless those who for His honour stood in protest at the ecumenism of it all and who called for a rejection of abortion.

Sincerely in Christ,
Ivan Foster

Statement regarding Mr. Paul Givan's attendance at Armagh service

Statement from Rev Ivan Foster (Rtd), former minister of Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Church, on the attendance of Mr Paul Givan, a Free Presbyterian, at the centenary service in Armagh, held under the auspices of the combined apostate denominations here in Ulster.

Poor, foolish Paul Givan had little to smile about as he enters the apostate Armagh service and thus betrays the gospel and turns his back upon the truth of God that has been the foundation of the separatist stand of the Free Presbyterian Church since it beginnings in 1951!

By attending this service Mr Givan has put personal and political considerations before his professed allegiance to the Lord. Click to read more…

Statement by the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster

STATEMENT FROM THE FREE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF ULSTER on the Ecumenical Centenary Service in Armagh, Thursday 21st October, 2021.

I wish to make a comment on the fact that our Presbytery Officers have decided that there will be no protest at the above ungodly ecumenical gathering, which has ostentatiously expropriated the centenary of the stand taken by our Protestant forefathers against the political sell-out of our heritage attempted by the British government, and that into the hands of a Roman Catholic dominated ‘United “Ireland’.

All that this ecumenical ‘celebration’ entails would have been anathema to our forbears of 1912 and 1921.

In 1951, the Free Presbyterian Church was brought into existence by the Lord in order to PROTEST against the wickedness of the ecumenical movement. Most certainly for the first 50+ years it was faithful and fervent in that calling. However, its opposition to the modernism and the liberalism and the pro-popish direction taken by the Church of Ireland, Presbyterian and Methodist churches in Ireland since the late 1940s, has most decidedly waned over the last couple of decades. (see Questions for the Free Presbyterian Church)

Much has been made of the security measures that undoubtedly will be in place for this ecumenical service and the difficulties they would present to any who wish to get into Armagh and anywhere near the cathedral to protest. Click to read more…

Are the days of protest over?

Of late, I have been given to understand that there are those ministers in the Free Presbyterian Church who would seek to impress upon younger ministers and students that such is the case.

I would suggest that for those who say this, the days of protest never existed! To protest exposed one to reproach and shame, even the shame of the cross and that is not for the modern ‘evangelical’! Furthermore, someone might challenge them about their protest and claim it was ‘unchristian’ and ‘lacking in love’ and since they didn’t really believe that they should be protesting, how would they put up a defence?

Better to stay at home and hide under the bed in such circumstances!

Well, Holy Scripture teaches us that ‘the days of protest’ are not over and will continue for the true and faithful believer until the return of the Saviour Himself. Click to read more…

Thoughts on the history of professing Christianity, Part 1

Following our recent series of extracts from chapter 14 of Benjamin Wills Newton’s book, ‘Prospects of the Ten Kingdoms’, which we concluded last week, and the good reception they received, I felt that I would like to feature extracts from the 6th chapter of the book which deals with a matter facing us all today — that of the corruption and apostasy of ‘PROFESSING CHRISTIANITY’ as set forth by the Saviour in His parables in Matthew 13. I am sure that you will find the extracts informative.

Sincerely, Ivan Foster

We continue with extracts from Benjamin Wills Newton’s book, Prospects of the Ten Kingdoms, the chapter 6 — THOUGHTS ON THE HISTORY OF PROFESSING CHRISTIANITY, AS GIVEN IN THE PARABLES OF MATTHEW XIII.

Here is Part 1, which covers pages 148-151.

THE subject of the book of Daniel is the secular history of the Gentile Empires in their relation to Jerusalem, and not the history of Christianity. In considering, therefore, the history of Christianity, we deviate from the strict course of this prophecy. But it is a deviation that may be permitted. Not only is the subject in itself unspeakably important, but it is closely connected also with all we have been considering. The full character of evil that attaches to the Roman Empire cannot be understood unless its false relations to Christianity be in some degree appreciated. Moreover, although the ripened evil of Judaism, and of the nations governmentally, will largely contribute towards the final development of Antichristianism, yet it will be aided no less by an apostasy from among professing Christians. Thus also we answer an objection often urged, viz., that by our interpreting the Old Testament prophecies so exclusively of Israel and of the Gentiles, we leave nothing in Scripture that bears directly on Christianity. We show that the Scripture does speak prophetically of Christianity, and of its corruptions. Click to read more…

Letter to the Belfast Newsletter

The following letter was submitted today to the Belfast Newsletter.

Sir,

It is more than ironic that the ecumenical leaders of the main churches here have hi-jacked the centenary of the founding of Northern Ireland. The refusal by Ulster Protestants to accede to the campaign for ‘Home Rule’ which led to the formation of Northern Ireland, was based upon their perception that such would mean ‘Rome Rule’!

I wonder will any mention of that be made during the service? I doubt it very much!

Of course, what ‘Home Rule’ failed to do 100 years ago, the deception and hypocrisy of ‘Ecumenism’ have accomplished today, and nothing proves this more clearly than next Thursday’s service in Armagh!

Rev Ivan Foster (Rtd)
Kilskeery, Co.Tyrone.

Questions for the Free Presbyterian Church

QUESTIONS FOR THE FREE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH REGARDING THE ECUMENICAL CENTENARY SERVICE IN ARMAGH CHURCH OF IRELAND CATHEDRAL

Thursday 21st October, 2021.

One of the biggest ecumenical gatherings in Ireland will take place in Armagh on 21st October, less than a week away. As is the case with all ecumenical gatherings, it is a fraud and a deceit. Organised by the “Church Leaders Group”, it is a hi-jacking of the centenary of an event that was the rejection by Ulster’s Protestant men and women of all things that characterise today’s ecumenical movement.

The ‘patron’ of ecumenism is the devil who “was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it,” John 8:44. The ecumenical movement is representative of all that is ungodly and antichristian in this world today. Within its ranks are churches which promote sodomy, ordaining men and women who are sodomites, to serve in their pulpits. It embraces every false and blasphemous heresy known to man and of course is utterly pro-Romanist!

One of its leading members has just resigned from the Church of England and joined the Church of Rome. As one headline puts it: ‘Anglican bishop of Ebbsfleet resigns to join Roman Catholic church.’ (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/sep/03/anglican-bishop-of-ebbsfleet-resigns-to-join-roman-catholic-church)

His action foreshadows just where Ecumenism is going! Click to read more…

Seeking for God's intervention!

The Government and Morals Committee of the Free Presbyterian Church has called for a season of prayer for Saturday 30th October. It is to seek God’s intervention in the affairs of our nation.  There have been other such prayer seasons in recent times.

A day of intercession and prayer in our present circumstances is very welcome and very proper. However, when we set out to seek the Lord it must be done with His requirements and commands very much in mind.

There have been prayers offered to the Lord by God’s people which were not heard by Him. “And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool,” Isaiah 1:15-18.

Maybe it is time to ask: “Has the Lord been answering our prayers?”

Sin in our hearts, in our lives, in our midst will stop our prayers being heard and therefore from receiving an answer. Click to read more…

Prospects of the Ten Kingdoms - Part 14 (final section)

We come to the final section of this chapter copied from Benjamin Wills Newton’s quite wonderful book: “Prospects of the Ten Kingdoms”. I truly hope it has been a great help to you all.

The topic of the ten Kingdoms of the Antichrist will become increasingly important for God’s people to study and understand since any who become entangled with it will pay a dreadful price.

“And all that dwell upon the earth (i.e. the ‘the old Roman Empire’) shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world . . . And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name,” Revelation 13:8, 14:11.

Damnation is the price that will be paid by any deceived into an allegiance with the kingdom of anti-christianity.

Given the blindness that is abroad today regarding the errors of the liberal and modernistic ‘gospel’ eagerly embraced by the main denominations and the zealous pursuit of money and the spirit of the merchants that is everywhere, the vast majority of people are more than ripe for the plucking by the devil and his agents! Guildford IRA bomb family demands answers

Guildford IRA bomb wreckage

EVERYWHERE it seems, we read of IRA crimes and government and police stupidity being covered up and every obstacle that the ‘powers that be’ can muster are placed in the path of justice for the victims!

As in days gone by so it is today:

“‭And judgment‭ is turned away‭‭ backward‭, and justice‭ standeth‭‭ afar off‭: for truth‭ is fallen‭‭ in the street‭, and equity‭ cannot‭‭ enter‭‭.,” Isaiah 59:14.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

We would despair were we not sustained by the promise of God:

“‭Behold, the days‭ come‭‭, saith‭‭ the LORD‭, that I will raise‭‭ unto David‭ a righteous‭ Branch‭, and a King‭ shall reign‭‭ and prosper‭‭, and shall execute‭‭ judgment‭ and justice‭ in the earth‭.,” Jeremiah 23:5.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Pity this lady and her friends who seek justice in the case of the murder of their loved ones by the IRA and the cover up that is in place!

Most sincerely in the Saviour’s name,

Ivan Foster

Moral perversion in London's police

Openly gay Met commissioner Dame Cressida Dick says she’s not stepping down

I send out this article with weariness of soul and a great measure of reluctance.

I feel that I have not the inclination nor the time any more to take up the plethora of reported incidents which press upon us all the indecency which pervades our society today.  Nor do I feel that you, as those who desire to turn away their eyes from evil, have the inclination to have such things pressed upon you.

I believe it is approaching the time to “shake off the dust” of our feet with regards the many denominations and groups to whom innumerable warnings and exhortations have been addressed, and that without any God-honouring response.

Just what is the devout Christian to do in the circumstances which are rapidly developing around us?

I believe that Isaiah 26:20-21 offers us guidance on this matter. Click to read more…

Compromise at Bob Jones University conference

Dr Steven Lawson

Dr Steven Lawson is one of the featured speakers at Steven Lee’s SermonAudio Conference entitled “The Foundations Conference”, to be held at Bob Jones University in December. Other speakers include Dr Joel Beeke. Todd Friel, and most surprisingly, Dr Clarence Sexton , Dr Paul Washer, and Rev Armen Thomassian of Faith Free Presbyterian Church, Greenville SC, USA.

Rev Stephen Hamilton of Allentown Free Presbyterian Church, Pennsylvania, USA, makes the following comments on one of the leading speakers in this conference.

Dr Steven Lawson is hailed by many evangelicals today. He is a gifted preacher, no question. He has positioned himself as a defender of Biblical Truth, even at times referencing the Protestant Reformation. However, he is also a man who tends to speak out of both sides of his mouth. Prospects of the Ten Kingdoms - Part 13

We continue with our extracts from Benjamin Wills Newton’s book, Prospects of the Ten Kingdoms, the chapter 14 —

ORDER OF EVENTS CONNECTED WITH THE APPEARING OF CHRIST AND HIS MILLENNIAL REIGN

But however great the blessings of the millennial age, they still fall very short of the perfection of God. Sin, death, and occasional transgression, will yet be there, and repressive power (something unknown in heaven) will be perpetually needed, in order to prevent manifestations of evil, and sights of sorrow. The spirit therefore of the millennial saints will long for something more perfect yet to come. They will be taught, even as we, to look for New Heavens and a New Earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.*

(* In Isaiah lxv. 17, the subjects of joy and thanksgiving, presented to Israel at the commencement of their millennial blessing, are two — one future; the other, present. The final intention of God to create New Heavens and a New Earth, is first spoken of, and presented to them as an object of hope: next is mentioned, that which God will at that time be giving them, as a present joy; for at that time He will make Jerusalem and her people a joy.

“Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth,” strictly – Behold, I, the Creating One of new heavens, &c. For this abstract use of the present participle as not defining time, see “Occasional Papers,” No. II. Page 96.) Click to read more…

Two statements marking DUP's 50th birthday!

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the start of the Democratic Unionist Party. Two statements related to that event appeared on the BBC Northern Ireland news site this morning.

One was by Baroness Paisley, widow of the late Dr Ian Paisley, the other was by Lord Hay of Londonderry.

The BBC report read:

‘In a statement, Baroness Paisley said the party’s “more recent tolerance of changing moral attitudes in society is a far cry from the code of practice Ian unashamedly espoused”.

“Yet, despite his clear and unequivocal views, the party grew to being the majority voice of the unionist people in this province. That is perhaps a lesson which today needs heeding.”

She added that “Ulster faces very uncertain days.” ’

We have no wish to be churlish, but the moral changes within the DUP over the last 50 years require a stronger condemnation than the words of the Baroness proffer. The changes could well be likened unto day giving way to night! Click to read more…

Its relation to Heaven and to the Earth during the Millennium, is analogous to that which the Holy Place occupied in the Temple. It was situate intermediately between the Holy of Holies and the external court where Israel worshipped. The Holy Place was the place of Priestly service, the place of intercession, the place where the golden Candlestick was set-the type of Christ, in that pure, perfect, unchanging heavenly light, wherewith, whether in Earth or Heaven, He hath shone and ever shineth for His people. All this, and more, the Heavenly City will be. Thence the regulations of God’s government, as well as the instructions of His grace, will reach Israel and the earth. “The nations shall walk by means of the light thereof, and the Kings of the Earth shall bring their glory and honour unto it.” There, also, remedial means will be provided for meeting the exigencies of mortal life below. In the vision of the City were seen Trees of Life; and “the leaves of the Trees were for the healing of the nations.” Click to read more…

Stormont hatred of righteousness displayed once again

What Jim Allister, leader of the ‘Traditional Unionist Voice’ party, correctly calls a ‘pan-nationalist front’, has once again united in support of convicted IRA criminals who presently hold positions with a publicly financed wage! This has been reported in today’s ‘Belfast Newsletter’.

TUV Political Appontments bill defeated

Mr Allister is quoted as saying after the defeat of his attempt to introduce a Bill in Stormont which would have prevented those with terrorist convictions being appointed to public bodies that the “pan-nationalist front of Alliance, the SDLP and Sinn Fein” had united to ensure Sinn Fein’s Paul Kavanagh could remain on the Education Authority, and that Gerry Kelly will keep his seat on the Policing Board.

He also said that it is difficult to view the police as an unbiased body when a convicted IRA bomber sits on its ‘watchdog’ committee!!

This is the situation which Sinn Fein, the SDLP and the Alliance parties are determined to see continue in Ulster. This has been a year in which the Bible-rejecting and anti-Unionist majority in Stormont has clearly demonstrated its bigoted attitude toward the Protestant people of Northern Ireland by opposing any significant recognition of the centenary of the founding of Northern Ireland!

The evil coalition of ‘Alliance, the SDLP and Sinn Fein’ is determined to crush every manifestation of our Protestant heritage. All three parties have shown support and sympathy for abortion and sodomy.

In this they have had the aid of the leaders of the Ecumenical churches. Under the headline: “Presbyterian moderator urges preservation of ‘precious’ powersharing government”, an article was recently published by ‘The Irish News’, an Irish nationalist newspaper. It is not surprising that the leaders of the apostasy see in any public body founded upon a partnership which includes Sinn Fein/IRA, something to be cherished and preserved!

The forming of the ‘power-sharing’ union between the DUP and Sinn Fein/IRA in Stormont in 2007 has resulted in what is now all too obvious — the dominant position of Irish Republicanism in the running of Ulster. Click to read more…

Ex-IRA gunrunner Gerry McGeough attacked while saying rosary at Cookstown Pride parade

A Free Presbyterian protest against the sodomite-glorifying parade in Cookstown on Saturday past, was one in which the Word of God condemning the wickedness for which He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, was publicly displayed.

On another part of the street, Irish Roman Catholicism was represented by a former IRA gunman, Gerry McGeough, and his friends engaging in the saying of the ‘Rosary’, that is praying to Mary, something strictly forbidden in the Word of God. But then what would you expect from an unrepentant former member of the IRA!!

The former gunman was punched in the face (there awaits him a much a more severe retribution in eternity from a hand more powerful than that of his female assailant) by a supporter of the sodomites who was acquainted with McGeough and had been engaged in a long-time dispute with him. Answer to Mr. Cubitt

September 24, 2021 — It is obvious that this letter is not going to be published in the ‘Belfast Newsletter’.

I have wondered if the various media outlets receive some sort of ‘grant’ to promote the present vaccinations which were produced by the use of foetal tissue and gag any letters exposing the use of tissue from an aborted child in their manufacture .

(Letter submitted to “The Belfast Newsletter” on September 17, 2021)

Sir,

As one who has refused the vaccinations presently on offer on the grounds that they have been produced or have been tested by the use of foetal material (an acknowledged fact), I see that Mr Cubitt has resorted to the logic of Nebuchadnezzar or indeed a Hitler with regards the forcing of others to submit to his idea of what is right. Both of these evil dictators denied to others the right of conscience.

I am against abortion. That was the position of 99% of the population when I was young. However, I failed to change my view on the subject when church and state persuaded a large number of folk to adopt a ‘liberal’ view of the slaughter of the unborn.

Now Mr Cubitt, one of that ‘enlightened liberal group’, calls for me and those like me to be forcefully vaccinated and that on the pretext that I do not ‘love my neighbour’!! Click to read more…

Prospects of the Ten Kingdoms - Part 11

We continue with our extracts from Benjamin Wills Newton’s book, Prospects of the Ten Kingdoms, the chapter 14 —

ORDER OF EVENTS CONNECTED WITH THE APPEARING OF CHRIST AND HIS MILLENNIAL REIGN

We come to Part 11, which covers from page 353 to the middle of page 356. A large portion of this extract is made up of a *note.

But whilst the saints individually and collectively, are thus filled with all fulness in Him; there will also be awarded to each, the individual meed of grace. Each will be placed before the tribunal *

* I have used the word tribunal in preference to judgment-seat, because less liable to misapprehension—the thought commonly connected with judgment-seat being that of arraignment as a criminal.

Indeed the thought of criminal arraignment ought to be connected with the ·”great white Throne,” before which the wicked dead raised at the close of the millennium will stand, to be judged out of things written in books according to their works. This is strictly judgment; but it is said that he who believeth shall not come into judgment. See John V. 24. All who have believed in Jesus previously to His return, will be raised in the first resurrection, and will reign with Him during the millennium: consequently, they will not stand before the great white Throne at all. Nor will the saints who live during the millennium stand before it to be arraigned, because the Book of Life will be opened, and their names will be found written there. Consequently, they too will not come into judgment. The prayer of every saint, in every dispensation must be, “Lord, enter not into judgment with Thy servant; for in Thy sight shall no man living be justified.” Click to read more…

"Party of civil rights" opposes right to Christian protest

This article was sent to me earlier today and I feel that there are interesting details within it which serve to highlight the utter hypocrisy of many in public as well as pointing the way in which society is moving with regards shutting down those voices and opinions with which it disagrees.

There is a growing animosity, in Church and State and amongst the general public who have been moulded by the opinions sanctioned and promoted by the two former institutions, toward any criticism of sodomy and its related perversions, especially those criticisms based upon the Word of God. Sodom all around!

Another week begins and the ‘watchman’ must cry aloud once more: “‭Now‭ [it is] high time‭ to awake‭‭‭ out of‭ sleep‭: for‭ now‭ [is] our‭ salvation‭ nearer‭ than‭ when‭ we believed‭‭.‭ ‭The night‭ is far spent‭‭,‭ the day‭ is at hand‭‭: let us‭‭ therefore‭ cast off‭‭ the works‭ of darkness‭, and‭ let us put on‭‭ the armour‭ of light‭,” Romans 13:11-12.

The western world is rapidly becoming a virtual Sodom. That may be seen in the latest disgusting and stomach-turning report of the vileness enacted in the name of the Lord.

I just read in my daily reading this morning Ezekiel 16. There the prophet was required to set before the people of Jerusalem, just prior to their overthrow in judgment and the captivity by Babylon, the wickedness into which they had descended.

I commend the chapter to you and ask that you read it carefully. You will surely see that the spirit that is at work today in ‘Christendom’ was at work then, some 2600 years ago! Click to read more…

Pay-outs made to Claudy bombings families after report found ‘cover-up’ of IRA priest’s involvement

“Father” James Chesney

This story of the betrayal of the victims of the IRA in Claudy, Co. Tyrone, by the Royal Ulster Constabulary, the Northern Ireland Office and the British Government, in order to placate the Church of Rome and conceal its links, at the highest level, as this press report shows, with terrorism and murder, portrays just what the Ulster Protestant people have had to endure and the true face of Roman Catholicism!

It must be remembered that this took place at a time when the Roman Catholic Church and Irish Republicanism were claiming that the police force in Northern Ireland, and Protestants in general, were discriminating against the Roman Catholic Community!

Is that not the very essence of irony!

The British Government was in full cooperation in this evil machination, not only in covering up this horrendous crime but to the extent of sympathetically listening to the complaints of Rome regarding the charges of police harassment of Romanists and endorsing these complaints before the world and helping Rome in the creation of the image of the ‘persecuting Ulster Protestant’! MLA calls on Parades Commission to oppose Free Presbyterian protest at LGBT parade

Rev. Marcus Lecky

We request prayer for Rev Marcus Lecky who has announced a protest against a sodomite ‘celebration in Cookstown later this month and also suggest the Orange Order should look at the membership of Joshua Cuddy, an openly self-acknowledged pervert and member of the Order.

The Orange Order has always presented itself as a’Christian” organisation. The tolerated presence of one who openly rejects God Word and lives in defiance of God’s holy standards, certainly challenges that claim.

Mid Ulster Pride: MLA calls on Parades Commission to oppose Free Presbyterian protest at LGBT parade

(Thursday 9th September 2021)

An SDLP MLA has said a protest by a church group over a planned LGBTQ+ parade has “no place in Mid Ulster” because it is “intolerant”.

Last year saw the first Pride Parade in Cookstown, and the small march – limited by Covid restrictions – was preceded by a small Free Presbyterian protest.

This year the parade is planned for September 18, and Rev Marcus Leckey of the Free Presbyterian Church in Cookstown has once again lodged an application with the Parades Commission to protest against it.

However SDLP Mid Ulster MLA Patsy McGlone has condemned those behind the planned protest. Click to read more…

Whilst the Lord is thus re-gathering Israel, and at the same time sending many judgments among the spared nations, who are to be broken before they are healed, He will introduce His saints into their heavenly mansions above, according to the promise “I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also. In my Father’s house are many mansions.” This is the period of which it is said, that He who loved the Church and gave Himself for it, will present it unto Himself “a glorious Church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing.” (Eph. v.) A rainbow crossing to where?

Rainbow crossing: NI’s first rainbow crossing unveiled in Londonderry

The first rainbow pedestrian crossing in Northern Ireland has been unveiled in Londonderry”

It links the Guildhall to the Peace Bridge with the aim of showing support for the city’s LGBTQ+ community The brainchild of the Foyle Pride Committee, it is also thought to be the first rainbow pedestrian crossing on the island of Ireland.

Jim Doherty, chairman of the Pride committee, said it would become a tourist attraction.

“It is in a brilliant location,” he told BBC Radio Foyle’s Mark Patterson Show.

“It is iconic, a good reflection of where we live.” He said there were similar crossings in other locations, including Berlin, San Francisco, and Camden.

“We thought it would be nice to have one realised here in Derry,” Mr Doherty said.

Earlier this year Derry City and Strabane District councillors unanimously agreed to fund the crossing after an approach from Foyle Pride. Click to read more…

The way forward to where?

The Belfast Telegraph, the media ‘champion of Ecumenism’, states in its ‘Viewpoint’ of today (4/9/21) that “Integration is the only way forward for our children.”The immediate question that comes to my mind is “the way forward to where?”

The article informs its readers that “Integrated education was created by a group of idealistic Protestant and Catholic parents, who led the fight to establish Lagan College, the first integrated school, 40 years ago.”

It is rather a coincidence that the first Integrated School came into existence just two years after the first Free Presbyterian Independent Christian School in Kilskeery. Nothing stirs the devil’s camp like a moving forward in the Lord’s!

“And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered [it for] a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him. And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel,” 1 Samuel 7:9-10.

Sadly, the victory granted to Israel in answer to Samuel’s prayers and their diligent response to the Lord’s intervention, did not follow the commencement of Independent Christian schools. It says in verse 11 that “the men of Israel went out of Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until [they came] under Bethcar.”

Sadly, there were few who seized upon the opportunity presented by the door the Lord opened back in 1979. Click to read more…

Independent schools vs. "integrated status"?

The news item below is part of a news report on today’s BBC Northern Ireland news site. Its information is to be noted by those who care for the future of the truth of the gospel in Ulster. This Roman Catholic school is to become an ‘Integrated School’. That does not mean that it ceases to be a ‘Roman Catholic’ school. It just means it has access to better Government financial funding! It has not thrown over its Romish teachings and ethos and all its pupils, including the ‘Protestant’ pupils it hopes to recruit, will be subject to those falsehoods.

The change of status was approved by former Education Minister, DUP MLA, Mr Peter Weir, a professing Christian! The promotion of ‘Integrated Education’ has been the policy of the DUP for a number of years now! As we have said in the past, the DUP is now part of the Ecumenical Camp in our land!

In truth, this is but part of the ‘ecumenicalising’ of Northern Ireland. It is a less direct attempt by Rome to subtly embrace the Protestants of Ulster who have been lulled into a sleep of death. Sadly, there are many, many who have succumbed to Rome’s trickery. It is little wonder that this is so for the Church of Ireland, the Presbyterian Church and the Methodist Church have all laboured to sell this deceit to their people.

Today saw the commencement of the 43rd school year of the first Bible-based Christian school in Ulster, Kilskeery Independent Christian School.

It began in September 1979. It is staffed by dedicated and faithful Christians who sacrificially labour to the honour of the Lord and for the spiritual and eternal well-being of children. It has been sustained financially by the kindness of the Lord through the generosity of many Christians, including the fee-paying parents. The school, unlike the Roman Catholic and Integrated schools receives absolutely no financial support whatever from the Government. In that we rejoice for it means that the school is in control of its curriculum content, the character of its teachers and is free to teach the Word of God to the pupils in its entirety. Geronimo the alpaca killed as legal row ends

So ran the BBC news site headline of August 31, 2021.

It is one of many accounts with which the public were regaled in the saga of an alpaca that was infected with ‘bovine tuberculosis’ or cattle TB as we ‘country folk’ would know it!

As such the animal, like any other animal so infected, was a threat to the health of other animals nearby. A department of Agriculture website says this of the disease. “It is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium bovis (M. bovis) which can also infect and cause disease in many other mammals including humans, deer, goats, pigs, cats, dogs and badgers. In cattle, it is mainly a respiratory disease but clinical signs are rare. TB in humans can be caused by both Mycobacterium bovis and the human form, Mycobacterium tuberculosis.”

The owner of the alpaca and her friends claimed that the putting down of the animal was murder. The alpaca was brought to England from New Zealand in August 2017 by his owner Helen Macdonald. It twice tested positive for bovine tuberculosis in August and November that year.

More than 140,000 people from around the world had signed a petition against Geronimo’s culling.

I find the reports of the ‘concern’ for this sick and infectious animal in great contrast with the legal murder of perfectly healthy unborn children in the United Kingdom and across the world generally. Click to read more…
