Sinn Fein supports the full spectrum of evil!
Sinn Fein has called for new legislation for Northern Ireland to make puberty blockers available to young trans teens as part of normal healthcare.
Every defiance of God springs from a common source — the depraved heart of man. This the Saviour affirmed very clearly. “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: these are the things which defile a man,” Matthew 15:19-20.
The very first evidence of man’s depravity that the Saviour mentions is ‘evil thoughts’. The word ‘thoughts’ refers to that ‘evil reasoning and disputing’ against God and His truth that has its source in the human heart, prompted and aided by the devil.
That is what lies behind the ‘thinking’ of Sinn Fein and its latest call for a defiance of God and His ordained order amongst mankind, as reported in today’s (3.8.23) ‘Belfast Newsletter’.
Never was there clearer evidence of Sinn Fein’s party’s God-defying mindset than this call by Emma Sheerin. This party would have it established here that the deviant demands for medical aid to hinder and oppose that natural transition that takes place in the human body as it grows and develops from adolescence to adulthood.
Sinn Fein’s MLA for Mid Ulster, Emma Sheerin, made her demand at the ‘Belfast Pride Talks Back’ radio event last week. Host William Crawley asked a political panel if their parties support access to puberty blockers for young trans teenagers in Northern Ireland. Emma Sheerin responded with this demand that such an abnormal procedure be ’normalised’ and become available on the National Health Service. According to press reports, Sinn Fein appears to have affirmed that this is the party position on this subject.
Apart from anything else, the NHS is so overstretched that with such an additional procedure becoming standard, it would mean that the treatment of common and legitimate ailments would suffer.
Shall such a scheme come about? In truth, I will be surprised (and delighted) if it doesn’t! Only Jim Allister’s TUV party has come out and publicly spoken against the issue of ‘transgenderism’. The party issued a statement and it is reported in the ’Belfast Newsletter’. I see no real opposition within the other Unionist parties regarding this perversion and of course, we cannot expect the Government in Westmister to oppose that which it has so much to promote!
But far more important than that impact upon life here, such a step would amount to a public endorsement of perverted man’s campaign to disrupt and defy that genetic order ordained by God and which is written into the DNA of humanity.
Christian, please learn that we watching the assembling of satanic forces, clearly warned of in God’s Word, which are bent on overthrowing ALL that is of God in a vain attempt to OVERTHROW GOD!
The Psalmist spoke of this long ago.
“Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us,” Psalm 2:1-3.
What is depicted here is the combining of men of many nations, those in positions of power, to overthrow the ‘bands and cords’ that God has instituted as the boundaries within which man should live.
We should notice God’s response to this preposterous and utterly mad venture! He ‘laughs’ and then He acts in ‘wrath’ against man’s folly.
“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure,” verses 4-5.
Let no one think that Heaven is unaware or uninterested in the iniquitous schemes of the like of Sinn Fein. What the Lord says in verse 6, indicates that despite man’s defiance and ‘action programme’, the eternally decreed purpose of God to establish His Son, the Lord Jesus, as King of His universe, will go forward unhindered.
“Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion,” verse 6. To Christ will yet be given “the heathen for (His) inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for (His) possession,” verse 8.
In the light of this glorious truth, men are advised as to what they should do. “Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” verses 10-12.
The agenda and the proposed actions of Sinn Fein fly directly in the face of the advice and counsel given by the Lord in verses 10 and 11 and is a shaking of the fist in defiance of the warning of verse 12!
On the basis of God’s Word, I can categorically state that the ultimate end of Sinn Fein’s ambitions will never be achieved and that the wrath spoken of in verse 12 will fall upon that party and all like it, who exist to defy and disregard all that God says.
Should any point at the ‘apparent successes’ that Sinn Fein has achieved, may I again refer to God’s eternal Word, which is as the Saviour said, immutable. “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled,” Matthew 5:18.
That unchangeable Word tells us that God permits wicked man to prosper and advance but it is only to the increase of the ruin he will face.
Consider these words, spoken to Abraham by the Lord regarding the future occupation of the ‘Promised Land’ by his descendants. “But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full,” Genesis 15:16. God has an agenda and over the ages of time He has been allowing it to develop. Part of that ‘development’ is the ‘filling up of the cup’ of wicked with God’s wrath and judgment. This the Psalmist also stated. “The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright,” Psalm 11:5-7.
The Jewish people are presently a people very much opposed and oppressed. Indeed, that has been their portion since the crucifixion of the Saviour. But that will ultimately change.
“Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again: but I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over. Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money,” Isaiah 51:20-52:3.
We are not to despair at the ‘advances’ of the wicked. No, rather we are to see this as the ‘filling up’ of the cup of judgment and the drawing near of the day of divine retribution.
Might I just add that a view of the ultimate end of the wicked is to be tempered with mercy! Let each Christian remember that we would be travelling STILL on the road to eternal damnation were it not for the Lord’s saving mercy toward us. Yes, we will rejoice at the overthrow of sin and man’s rebellion as will heaven when that happens, Revelation 18:20. But while we are yet in the body, I believe we should seek to show the compassion Christ showed even as He pronounced the approaching judgement upon Jerusalem.
“And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation,” Luke 19:41-44.
Even Sinn Fein members and their kind have heard the gospel for here in Ulster, despite the attempts of its enemies to silence it, its voice may still be heard on our streets and in many pulpits and through the printed word.
We, as Christians, irrespective of the righteous anger that wells up in our hearts at the actions and words of the many opponents of God in this land, should pity those who are still enslaved by unbelief and sin and serve the devil and his cause so assiduously.
Let us remember Paul’s words: “But by the grace of God I am what I am,” 1 Corinthians 15:10. It was these words which inspired the English Reformer, John Bradford, to say, “There but for the grace of God goes John Bradford.”
Let us bear such a truth ever in our minds as we look out, with irritation and displeasure, on the tossing seas of man’s rebellion!
