Ignorance, arrogance and utter folly displayed by fools in the Church of Ireland

While totally abhorring the actions and words of the group picture below, and their followers and supporters, one cannot but feel distress for them in the light of God’s Holy Word which they so blithely and blatantly defy!

Matty Zaradich of the Community of St Laurence, Fr Kevin O’Brien acting chair of Changing Attitude Irelamd, (sic) Bishop Bonnie Perry, Dean Dermot Dunne and Mark Bowyer former chair of CAI.

The ‘smug smiles’ will fade one day when they face the Holy God Whose law they despise!

God’s Law states very plainly: Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination,” Leviticus 18:22.

Furthermore, it reveals the consequences for those who defy this law.

Hear and heed the words of the Saviour:

“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed,” Luke 17:28-30.

“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; and spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; and delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)” 2 Peter 2:4-8.

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire,” Jude 1:6-7.

The following was mounted on the website of the ‘United Dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough’ of the Church of Ireland.

“If it was good enough for Jesus, then it is good enough for us” was the message from Bishop Bonnie Perry at a special service of Evensong to mark Pride in Dublin on Friday evening (June 13). Bishop Perry, who is XI Bishop of the Diocese of Michigan in the Episcopal Church of the United States of America, was the preacher at the annual service which is organised by Changing Attitude Ireland in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin.

Bishop Perry said that when the early Christian movement was beginning to coalesce, before Saul became Paul but after the Holy Spirit drove the apostles into the streets speaking languages from near and far, the disciples Peter and John were out telling the story of Jesus’s death on the cross, his resurrection, of Jesus’s love and his forgiving of people’s sins.

She said they were speaking with such conviction that people were gathering and listening and believing. New believers were gathering together and forming communities and caring for each other in a way that was setting the religious authorities’ teeth on edge.

“A movement fuelled by love and filled with pride is beginning,” she commented. “The religious authorities were scared. It’s not what they teach. It’s not what they grew up believing so after chastising Peter and John on one occasion and telling them to no longer speak their truth publicly, they let them go. But if you know who you are and how you are and you know that your life is changed, that’s not something you keep inside. You have pride and you keep on telling your story because – let me just say again – if it was good enough for Jesus, it’s good enough for us.”

Peter and John showed no sign of relinquishing their determination to tell the story of Jesus, so there was a stand off between those who wanted to speak their truth and those who would prefer that they just not say things that were changing the landscape and upsetting the balance of power, she said. But a pharisee spoke to them saying that if this movement was of human origin then it would fail like the others, but if it was of God then nothing the authorities could do would contain it.

Bishop Perry told the congregation that for decades society and the institutional church has told LGBTQ+ people that they are not good enough and their lives are wrong and their love is less than.

“For centuries the church has said that who we are – lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, non–binary, the categories keep evolving much like the universe – for decades the structures of power have said no to us and they have said: ‘Stop speaking. Be silent. Don’t tell us. Do not speak your truth’. And I say to you … as someone who is made in God’s image and likeness, as a bishop in a Christian church, as an out, proud, partnered lesbian, I say to you: speak your truth. We are made in God’s image and likeness and fully embraced by Christ just as we are. We of the queer community are good enough. We are called to tell the stories of who and how we are and how God lives and moves and has God’s being in our lives. For as we tell our stories others will see God in our lives and they will know that they too are beloved of God,” she said.’

These are the words of a religious buffoon, masquerading as a ‘Christian’ and an ‘Episcopalian Bishop’!

In truth she is one who unashamedly embraces a morally perverted lifestyle, abominated by the Lord.

Her ‘rehearsal’ of events recorded in the Acts of the Apostles is deceitful and a fraudulent mockery of what is divinely record in that book.

Her attempt to parallel opposition the faithful disciples of Christ faced from the rejectors of the gospel, those who were the ‘killers’ of “the Prince of life,”  Acts 3:15, with that which her ‘community of perverts’ face from decent people everywhere, will be believed only by the blind and ignorant.

Her attempts to suggest that there is a kinship between the opposition encountered by the early Christians and that abhorrence manifested toward her and her ilk by all who share Lot’s ‘vexation’, (or as the Greek word in 2 Peter 2:7 may be translated, ‘tormented’), toward the wickedness of the people of Sodom, is a vile and unscrupulous mockery!

She refers most dishonestly to the incident in Acts 5, when the high priest and his resurrection-denying friends, the Sadducees, filled with jealousy at the favour shown to the apostles, imprisoned them and demanded that they should cease teaching in the name of Christ (Acts 5:11-28).

It is the latter-day ‘high priests and their ilk’ that endorse the sodomite band led by ‘Bishop’ Bonnie Perry and it is the ‘multitudes’ of ordinary people, many of whom make no profession of faith, who are repulsed by the unnatural practices of her and her fellow degenerates!

What the persecutors of the early church demanded of Peter and the other apostles was that they “should not teach in this name”, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The demand that decent members of society make of the sodomites is that they abandon their ‘vile affections’, which entail the discarding of the natural use of the man and woman, which the Creator intended, for that ‘which is against nature’! (Roman 1:26).

The answer of Peter and his fellows apostles was as far removed from the response of the sodomites to the rebuking of their wickedness, as heaven is from hell!

“Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him,” Acts 5:29-32.

This female pervert insists that the early Christians showed ‘pride’ in their stance. This is to justify the use of the word and the practice of this shameful, boastful displaying of their own lewdness.

The grace of God drives us away from pride. “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,” 1 Peter 5:5-6.

The paramount blasphemy of this modern ‘Jezebel’, is the statement she makes: ‘If it was good enough for Jesus, then it is good enough for us.’

The suggestion being that their lifestyle was that sanctioned by Christ! That indicates a brasen and blasphemous audacity beyond what is common. It is Satanic to suggest that God supports and affirms the sodomite lifestyle.

That is glaringly obvious when we think of the words of the Saviour already quoted.

“The same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed,” Luke 17:29-30.

The voice of perverts like ‘Bishop’ Bonnie Perry will be heard, no matter how vexing they are, until “The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day,” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10.

Until then we must maintain a witness and a rebuttal of their proud,  sacrilegious and unwarranted attempts to justify their vile lifestyle.
