Eóin Tennyson, of the Alliance Party, who is a self confessed sodomite since he was 19 (Wikipedia), has introduced a Bill in the Stormont Assembly, that has been described by lawyers as presenting ‘a real threat to freedom’.
The Bill is intended to outlaw ‘Conversion Therapy’, a process embraced by new-evangelicals as their answer to the moral perversion of sodomy and its related practices.
‘Conversion Therapy’ is a sham and a fraud and it is but the invention of those who have but a ‘nodding acquaintance’ with Word of God and who really wish to rewrite the Bible to accommodate their modernistic notions!
Unionists are sallying forth to speak against the Bill, and in so doing, appear to be defending ‘Conversion Therapy’.
It is never right to ever give any credence to that which is wrong in order to oppose a greater wrong!
Conversion
What is lost sight of in the welter of words in Stormont is that Tennyson and his supporters are really aiming at the doctrine of God’s Word which Christians call ‘Conversion’. The word refers to a ‘turning from sin to the worship and obedience of the true God’. It is that which the Christians in Thessalonica experienced.
“For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come,” 1 Thessalonians 1:8-10.
Abomination.
God’s Word declares the lifestyle of Eóin Tennyson to be an abomination.
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination,” Leviticus 18:22.
“And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel,” 1 Kings 14:24.
Those who persist in this perverted lifestyle are given up of God.
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient (proper),” Romans 1:26-28.
Furthermore, the Bible states that no sodomite shall enter heaven.
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God,” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.
If Eóin Tennyson and his fellow sodomites insist on continuing in their sinful ways and reject the Word of God which commands “ . . . all men every where to repent: because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead,” Acts 17:30-31, then a most dreadful eternity awaits them.
The opponents of this evil practice were called many names during the debate by the supporters of Tennyson. One day he will learn that many of those he miscalled, were in fact showing him and his associates the greatest kindness.
The ‘Belfast Newsletter’ reported that Tennyson was quite emotional when he began to speak. His emotions, real or contrived, are nothing to that which he will experience when he encounters the God he likely does not believe exists but he will learn that he is most certainly defying His Law and His call to turn from his sin and wickedness!
The eternity that waits those like Tennyson, indeed any who reject the Word of the Gospel, is dreadful beyond words!
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him,” John 3:36.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death,” Revelation 21:8.
Eóin Tennyson and the Alliance Party would lead Ulster against God and His Law, caring for neither. Under the beguiling influence of ‘Ecumenism’, which sits enthroned in all the main denominations, what Eóin Tennyson and those of his Bible-rejecting community desire will be brought about.
Ecumenism
Ecumenism is to blame for the likes of Tennyson coming out from the shadows of shame and declaring themselves proud of their ‘shame’!
The era of Ecumenism has seen the rejection of the Word of God and the doctrines set forth therein which formed the very bedrock of true Protestantism. That rejection opened the door to declaring Romanism a ‘Christian’ organisation where before it was universally declared to be ‘antiChristian’ by true believers. Again, in the wake of this act of apostasy by many ‘churches’, abortion was legalised, as was sodomy and same-sex ‘marriages’!
Indeed, the ejecting of God’s Word as the only rule of faith and practice by ‘Christendom’, has opened the gates and the enemy has come in like a flood! (Isaiah 59:19).
Whatever decision is taken at Stormont, the matter will not end there. The ‘Eóin Tennysons’ of this age will be back, demanding more and more concessions and accommodation for their perversions. That means, of course, the total repudiation and discarding of the Word of God.
Perhaps they should understand that their schemes were known of old by the Lord and He has informed His people of their tactics and targets.
“But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts,” Jude verses 17-18.
Speaking specifically of the latter day Antichrist, of whom Tennyson and his comrades in rebellion is a pale reflection, Daniel the prophet has this to say of the vision he was given of the very last days of this age.
“And he (the Antichrist) shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him,” Daniel 7:25-27.
If I might use a phrase — boastfully misused and misapplied by an advocate of murder, who has not the least realisation of what the ‘day’ he claims as his and his supporters will bring upon them — ‘OUR DAY WILL COME’!
That is what Daniel had revealed to him.
“And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.”
Repeated
That truth is repeated by John in the last book of the Bible.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. . . . And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years,” Revelation 19:11-15; 20:4.
There was no mention of that day during the Stormont debate as it was reported in the press!
The debate was adjourned until next week and we will then have a comment about the decision the Assembly finally arrives at.
Late development
However, my attention was drawn to a comment made by a DUP member, Philip Brett, at about 7.15pm on Tuesday evening.
He intervened during the speech of fellow DUP member, Mr Peter Martin. He was responding to comments made a short time before by Sinn Fein MLA, Emma Sheerin.
Mr Brett is reported in the ‘Official Report’ as saying:
‘Ms Sheerin shows her utter ignorance when she claims that Sinn Féin speaks for an entire community. Sinn Féin does not. I will give news to Ms Sheerin and others: I am proud of the fact that there are members of the gay community who are members of the Democratic Unionist Party. I am proud that there are DUP elected representatives who are gay. I am happy that I was an election agent at the last election for a councillor who is proudly gay and is married to her wife. She is a proud unionist and a proud member of the Democratic Unionist Party. You and your party do not speak for the entire gay community. Stop pretending that you do.’
I would have every Free Presbyterian take special note of the section of his comments that I have underlined. There you have it straight from the horse’s (or should I say, donkey’s) mouth! Please note how PROUD and HAPPY Mr Brett is that the DUP has embraced sodomites and their perverted philosophy and endorsed such as their candidate.
“How are the mighty fallen,” (2 Samuel 1:25).
Shift
This shows the tectonic moral shift that has taken place within the DUP, especially under its present leader, Gavin Robinson.
Once it denounced sodomy as an abomination and cursed of God.
Now it proudly welcomes such within its ranks!
Just why are Free Presbyterians in membership of this political organisation which is in open rebellion against the Lord?
Why are our Presbytery officers so willing to tolerate such a situation but eager to bar Rev Alan Dunlop from the Communion Tables of the Free Presbyterian Church and stop him partaking in any prayer meeting within the denomination?
Why has there been no examination of the actions of an elder in ‘good standing’, who was responsible for the payment of funds to help promote the cause of pro-sodomite organisations, while a DUP minister in Stormont?
His is but one instance of a serious matter that has been ignored, though many requests have been made for an investigation!
Such questions may well be ignored today but an answer will have to be given in that day of account spoken of by Paul.
“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God,” Romans 14:12.
Indeed, the Lord, as King and Head of the Church, may demand an answer before that great day, as He did with the seven churches in Asia.
We all would do well to heed His warnings and take note of His threats for only a fool ignores the Words of Christ!
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches”!
We all would do well to heed that divine exhortation!
