Such headlines as that below or others of that genre, have become common place. So much so, that the significance of such announcements have been virtually lost on society generally! The jail that is threatened will be chiefly for Christians since it is they who will be foremost in opposing such a wickedness!
Sadly, it is as if we have become immune to such developments and pay little or heed to them.
That gradual, almost unnoticed inroad of evil has ever been the tactic of the devil when seeking to impose his deceits and depravities amongst men. He is the ‘deceiver’ of nations as we are told in Revelation 20:1-3. “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”
That binding of the devil has not yet happened and will not until the Saviour returns. Therefore the devil is presently going about deceiving the nations.
This news article deals with the devil’s subtle attack on Scotland. It is an attack which he is mounting against the nations of the whole world.
The wickedness of ‘transgenderism’ is embraced by many. The man and woman in the street and the so-called ‘intelligentsia’, those found in the universities and places of learning who have gained a reputation for wisdom but who are in fact the devil’s dupes, have amongst them those dupes who believe this absolute ludicrousness! Our parliament too is blighted with such who use its influential platform to spread their iniquitous notions.
All who embrace it, support it or merely tolerate it are guilty before God of this vile, immoral, unnatural plague!
‘Transgenderism’ is a preposterous perversion, which like all such deviancies, is in utter contradiction of God’s order. “This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam (Hebrew – ‘red’ or ‘earth’ out of which man was created), in the day when they were created,” Genesis 5:1-2.
Apostasy from God has ever seen an attempt to destroy this order.
“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient,” Romans 1:25-28.
CHRISTIAN, PLEASE NOTE THIS AND UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SUCH TRENDS!!
We are witnessing the descent of mankind down into the darkness which God said would mark the close of this age! Much is made of the changes in climate and the deviation from the more settled weather patterns which former generations experienced. These changes have been put down to mam’s industrial and social extravagance!
It is true that man’s greed and self-indulgence has led to the abuse of earth’s resources and the environment generally. However, that does not account for the marked escalation in floods and droughts and fires and earthquakes of recent times. Rather we must remember and believe the words of the Lord Jesus. “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven,” Luke 21:11. The Saviour says plainly that ‘heaven’ is the source of these events.
Man wishes to shut out such a truth and therefore, led by the likes of evolutionist, David Attenborough. and his ilk, there is a campaign seeking to divert the minds of men from seeing God in these calamities. It is for this reason that despite the clear warnings of the approach of the ‘day of the Lord’ that day will come as a ’thief in the night’!
“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him,” 1 Thessalonians 5:1-10.
I fear that all too many Christians are asleep regarding the nearing of the return of Christ. The moral depravities that are being embraced, HAVE been embraced within churches and society in general, have not had the impact upon Christians that they should!
Are not many pulpits silent on these matters and their occupants, like ‘dumb dogs’, failing to sound an alarm and inform their flocks of the significance of these things? May not these words be applied to all too many of God’s servants within the ranks of ‘fundamentalism’ today? “His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber,” Isaiah 56:10. There is a vital element of a godly man’s ministry that is neglected today. I am referring to which God requires of His servants in day of rebellion and apostasy. “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins,” Isaiah 58:1. God was certainly calling for a ‘loud bark’ from His servant here!
Sadly, I feel that many do not wish to face the resentment that such ‘crying aloud’ will generate within many a congregation!
Such silence is dreadful and criminal for it is a betrayal of the sheep by their under-shepherds and a failing in that duty given them of God. When the Saviour repeatedly said to Peter, “Feed my sheep,” John 21:15-17, the word ‘feed’ means more than to provide them with food. Rather, it means to ‘keep’ to protect and safeguard. A man cannot be a ‘good minister of Jesus Christ’ if he fails to explain to and press upon his flock the warnings of the Holy Ghost regarding events that are coming upon the earth in these last days.
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron, . . . . If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained,” 1 Timothy 4:1-2, 6.
How many ministers are faithfully and fully explaining the warnings of God given of the very days we are living in? How many are making clear the significance of the dreadful happenings like that which is likely soon to befall Scotland?
Such silences contribute to the spirit of sleep that has come upon the church today, even as the Saviour said it would. “While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept,” Matthew 25:5. Ministers are not meant to be ‘nursery attendants’ but sounders of an alarm in days such as these. “Awake thou that sleepest,” Ephesians 5:14, is the cry that should be sounded out loud and clear from faithful ministers in these days.
May God’s people be aroused by faithful preaching to see and understand the ‘signs of the times’!

New proposals published on Tuesday would criminalise any actions designed to suppress the gender identity of another individual

Parents are facing up to seven years in jail if they don’t let their children change gender, under new plans put forward by the SNP.
Scotland is looking at implementing a ban on conversion therapy, which would criminalise any actions designed to “change or suppress” the gender identity of another individual, and any action that causes another individual physical harm or psychological distressThe plans, published yesterday, would make it illegal for parents to prevent a child from “dressing in a way that reflects their sexual orientation or gender identity”.
Marion Calder, director at the campaign group For Women Scotland, claimed the plans are part of a “gender ideology cult”.
She said: “We have grave concerns that these plans will criminalise loving parents, who could face years in jail simply for refusing to sign up to the gender ideology cult.
“They will also hand activists and social workers unprecedented powers to meddle in family life, while having a chilling impact on therapists and counsellors.”
She warned that if the SNP “insists” on pushing this laws through, it could end up “going the same way” as the self-identification and named person laws – which were blocked by Westminster.
But defending the proposals last year, Blair Anderson, from the End Conversion Therapy Campaign, explained: “Where a conversation takes place where someone has the explicit intention, or the hope or the aim or the desire to change someone’s sexuality or gender which is not possible, which is extremely traumatising: that should be banned because banning that protects LGBTQ plus people from harm.”
A Scottish Government spokesman said: “Conversion practices that try to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity are harmful, discriminatory, and have no place in our society.
“We’re committed to introducing legislation that will ban these harmful practices as far as possible within devolved competence just as many jurisdictions across the world have already done, and UK Government intends to partially do.
“This will be done fully recognising and respecting the legal right to freedom of religion, expression and a private and family life, which are protected under existing laws.”
Last year, the SNP lost its fight against Westminster over the party’s controversial trans reforms.
The Court of Session in Edinburgh ruled that the UK Government acted lawfully when it blocked the gender reforms in Scotland, which the SNP attempted to introduce earlier this year.
The party attempted to challenge the Government’s decision to block a law introduced in Scotland earlier this year, which would have made it easier for trans people across the border to change their legal gender.
It would have sped up the process of acquiring a gender recognition certificate (GRC), which is seen as an integral part of trans inclusion.
The proposed reforms would remove the requirement for a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria, allowing people to apply for a GRC as long as they have been living as the gender they identify with for three months. This is a reduction from the current minimum of three years.
A total of 11 European countries have introduced similar reforms.
The plans would have allowed 16 and 17-year-olds to legally change their gender. But people under the age of 18 would have to be living as the gender they identify with for at least six months.
The Government blocked the legislation under Section 35 of the Scotland Act, which allows a UK secretary of state to stop a bill from getting royal assent if they have reasonable grounds to believe the law would have an adverse effect on legislation reserved to Westminster.
Westminster’s decision to block the bill from going for royal assent is the first time Section 35 has been used.
Scottish Trans said the current UK-wide requirements for applying for a Gender Recognition Certificate are overly laborious.
The organisation said: “The time, evidence, and money required, as well as the emotional toll of potentially having an application rejected, mean that many trans people do not apply – even those who have otherwise ‘completed’ every other aspect of their transition.”
It adds: “This is very frustrating for many trans men and women who find that this slow, bureaucratic process is preventing them from otherwise just getting on with their lives.
“Many trans people know they are trans a long time before they socially, medically, and legally transition, and do not make the choice to do so lightly.”
