New Zealand is in the midst of a political crisis, of the making of its present Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, who has suddenly announced that she is stepping down as a result of being no longer able physically and mentally to carry the burden of leadership. She says she has no regrets over her decision to step down.
She has been one whose policies have been exceedingly ‘liberal’, with her giving support to many of the modern perversions. It was reported in ‘The Spectator’ of 14th July 2021, that “Jacinda Ardern’s Labour government has been busy prioritising a bill that would effectively allow anyone to become a woman just because they wanted to.”
In eternity Mrs Ardern may have many deep regrets about that course of action!
She has set a trend in motion in her land as is seen in recent news report that one of the ‘potential candidates (for replacing Mrs Ardern) include Minister of Justice Kiri Allan, 39. If successful she would become the country’s first prime minister of Maori descent, as well as the first openly gay leader.’
Once sin gets in, it soon establishes itself and takes root!

Here is an update on the political situation in New Zealand from a pro-family values organisation in that land. The newsletter was shared with me by a friend.
This trend of those given over to a lifestyle in complete defiance of God and His Law, is a trend developing everywhere in western ‘democracies’. On our island, our neighbours in the Roman Catholic, Republic of Ireland, are presently led for the second time by Leo Varadkar, who openly flaunts his perverted sodomite lifestyle.
Where there is a no openly ‘perverted’ leader, then you have one who sides with and actively promotes the ‘sodomite/transgender’ lifestyle. It is so in the United Kingdom and also in USA and Canada and every other major democracy!
DEMOCRACY
The word ‘democracy’ denotes a government according to the wishes of the people. Abraham Lincoln famously defined it as: the “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” That seems fine, as long as the people are subject to the Word and will of God!
However, since that has never really been the case, with the exception of brief periods in the history of Old Testament Israel, in truth it is a recipe for disaster. The Bible says that: “The heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil,” Ecclesiastes 8:11.
We see evidence of that all around us.
Here in Ulster, the once conservative and to some degree, submissive to God’s Word, Democratic Unionist Party, has within its ranks those who openly engage in and support the sodomite lifestyle as well as showing support for transgenderism and its allied perversions.
The DUP stated recently, as was reported in the ‘Belfast Newsletter’ of January 17th, that Belfast City Council: “must ‘be mindful’ of public spending when it comes to the idea of a new and bigger LGBTQQIA+ (they will soon need the whole alphabet to embrace all the perversions they represent) centre in Belfast.”
This a pathetically weak and ambivalent response. No wonder the name of the person issuing that response was not given! The ‘Newsletter’ report stated that “the DUP group on the council issued a nameless statement.”
The DUP has no objections, it would appear, to such a centre being established, just don’t make it too expensive!
Have they forgotten the terrible price that the Lord says must be paid for the engagement in such wickedness?
This is the party’s position even though Free Presbyterians are within its membership. I should have said, ‘silent and unprotesting Free Presbyterians’ within its membership! I believe that we should be thankful that the number of Free Presbyterians in membership of the DUP is declining.
It cannot reach ‘zero’ soon enough!
This then is the world-wide evil trend as the nations descend into the depths of apostasy which the Lord indicated would take place just before the return of Christ to judge such wickedness and to take over the government of His creation.
“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed,” Luke 17:26-30.
Those are the words of the Lord Jesus.
The Saviour will be revealed on that day when: “The seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever,” Revelation 11:15.
The sounding of the seventh trumpet, the ‘last trump’, will see this take place.
It is the day when all the ‘liberalisers’, with their anti-God philosophies, in the midst of “a furnace of fire”, will experience a “wailing and gnashing of teeth,” Matthew 13:42.
Let us seek to live in the light of that fast approaching day and be faithful to God and His Word.
