Orangeman defies Order for gay daughter’s wedding

No comment from Orange Order as county grand master walks lesbian daughter down aisle

Such action is the norm today and displays a total lack of any sense of shame!
Oaths and biblical principles may casually be cast aside in favour of the utterly ungodly views and practices of those who have chosen a path of defiance of God and His holy law. Failure by the Orange Order to act in this case provides Christians in it with yet another reason to separate from it.

Paul the apostle say of such perverts as these women:
“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves . . . . . And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient (fit and proper),” Romans 1:24, 28.

“Billy Graham is dead”

Billy Graham was a figure of controversy amongst believers who were anxious to remain faithful to God and His Word in the midst of the betrayals of Ecumenists and Liberals. Billy Graham was consumed with a desire to maximise his audience and to do that he lowered the standards which govern just who it is that God’s people may fellowship with.

Consequently, he cosied up to Roman Catholicism unashamedly to the consternation of earnest Christians.

Some information on his sad departure from Biblical Christianity is detailed here.

President of Bob Jones University reacts to the death of Billy Graham

Steve Pettit, president of Bob Jones University, speaks on the late Rev. Billy Graham and, in saying what he did, utterly repudiated all that Dr Bob Jones Senior and Dr Bob Junior ever stood for and contended against!!

This a prime example of the spirit of betrayal that is spreading through the professing Church of Christ in these last days.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron,” 1 Timothy 4:1-2.

Missionary in Liberia Stands Up for Truth in Context of Billy Graham Passing

MONROVIA—Rev. David DiCanio, a missionary under the Free Presbyterian Church of North America, produced and aired, on Liberia’s largest Christian radio station, a special program shortly after the death of Evangelist Billy Graham on Wednesday, hoping to inform people about concerns many have had with Graham’s ministry.

“When I heard that Dr. Graham died, and saw online all the positive comments about his ministry, I felt that I had to put something together to show people in Liberia the truth about his compromise,” Mr. DiCanio said. “On numerous occasions, Billy Graham clearly stated that people could be saved without the Bible or Christ.”

Mr. DiCanio used his already purchased time slot on ELWA, the largest Christian radio station in Monrovia, the capital city of Liberia, to air the 15-minute special program which contained audio clips of Graham’s statements to both Larry King during a CNN interview, and the late Dr. Robert Schuller, pastor of the Crystal Cathedral in California, who interviewed Graham on his international television program.

Mr. DiCanio also included an interview that he did with Dr. Schuller in 2004 for a documentary, where Schuller stated that he agreed with Graham’s view that God might have other ways of salvation beside Christ. Read more….

Statement on the Death of Billy Graham by the American Council of Christian Churches

…the American Council of Christian Churches, while joining in expressing sympathy to Dr. Graham’s family on the occasion of his death, must remain steadfast in defense of the faith by urging the rejection of Billy Graham’s compromising strategy and the repudiation of his legacy of vacillation that has provided encouragement to those who despise the truth of the gospel as we find it in the Scriptures. We resolve to remain true to the position to which our Lord has called us—to come out from among those who refuse the truth and to be separated unto Jesus Christ.

Does man have a soul and is there a hell?

Blasphemous denials by the Archbishop of York Dr John Habgood, answered by the Bible.

The synopsis of a sermon preached in Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Church on 13th November, 1994, by Rev. Ivan Foster, minister.

The great apostasy edges closer to its final and ultimate denial. That denial is given us in II Thess 2:3-4: Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. The same truth is found in Peter’s writings. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction, II Peter 2:1.

The present apostasy will culminate in man’s outright denial of the Lord Himself and the Antichrist setting himself up as God.

The Christ-rejecting ecclesiastical world took a step nearer to that final apostasy recently with the denials voiced by Dr. John Habgood, the Archbishop of York, on 7th November, 1994. He is reported in The Times newspaper as saying that there was nothing in the human body that departs when we die. He claimed that the individual’s identity was “held in the mind of God”. He also said that hell was not regarded as a serious option these days.  Read more

No deal and Mrs Arlene Foster says: we will not be held to ransom

“But Mrs Foster, you will always be ‘held to ransom’ if you persist in having dealings with those who are long-skilled in kidnapping, robbery, murder and terrorism.
The whole process of seeking a partnership with Sin Fein/IRA was utterly wrong from the beginning. Nothing can be built in partnership with those intent only on demolition and destruction!”

Let us all learn from Ezra 4:1-5:

“Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity builded the temple unto the LORD God of Israel; then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither. But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us. Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building, and hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.”

The underlying principle is the same. Read more

Sinn Fein’s new president ‘off on wrong foot’ with unionists as Mary Lou ends speech with IRA slogan

When Mary Lou McDonald ended her Sinn Fein leadership acceptance speech with “Up the rebels” and “Tiocfaidh ar la”, (Our day will come), she was clearly signalling a camaraderie and affinity with the bloody terrorism of the IRA. Her gloating in the activities of the IRA should signal the end to any “power-sharing” talks between Sinn Fein and the DUP. It has been announced in the Irish Republic that a referendum on abortion reform is to be held by the end of May this year. The Taoiseach, Mr Leo Varadkar confirmed that a national plebiscite will take place on abolishing the eighth amendment and allowing terminations up to 12 weeks which will require a reforming of the country’s strict anti-abortion laws. The Irish cabinet agreed to give voters in the republic the chance to repeal the eighth amendment to the country’s constitution.

Doubtless, a very public debate will take place in which abortion will be justified, rationalised, defended and legitimised.

The eighth amendment was added to the republic’s constitution following a referendum in 1983. It recognises the equal rights to life of a foetus and the mother during pregnancy. Pro-choice campaigners say the amendment creates a “chill factor” in the health system preventing medical teams from carrying out abortions even in cases where a woman’s life may be at risk. They say physicians fear they could be prosecuted and sent to prison if they carry out terminations even in extreme cases such as when women are suicidal or become pregnant through sexual violence. Read more

SHOCK CLAIM: Christians were WRONG to brand Satan evil as scientist insists devil is good

The idiot is saying that the Lord got it all wrong, since true Christians base their view of Satan on what the Lord has said of him in the Bible.

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels,” Matthew 25:41.
“And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him,” John 13:2.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,” 1 Peter 5:8.
“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever,” Revelation 20:10.

A passage from the “The Scattered Nation”

the ‘occasional record of the London-based Hebrew Christian Testimony to Israel’, edited by David Baron, a converted Jew, October 1894.

‘WHAT are you doing to reach the better class Jews?’ has been asked by several friends. Mr. Schönberger partly answers the question at the end of his paper. We are carrying on a vigorous postal mission to those of the richer Jews in all the different suburbs of London who cannot otherwise be reached. For this purpose we have issued an Open Letter, a portion of which I reproduce here, to give our friends an idea how we have to address our unbelieving brethren.

EXTRACT from our Open Letter to the Jews

“Brethren, it is an undeniable fact, that at the very time when our people expected the Messiah, a pure and holy man appeared among them of the the name of Jesus, who declared Himself to be the promised Redeemer, spoken of by the Prophets, and proved Himself such by His marvellous life, doctrine and works.

Brethren, it is an undeniable fact, that in consequence of the death of Jesus of Nazareth, and on the ground of His resurrection from the dead, a community was formed at Jerusalem, who, recognising Jesus as the Messiah prophesied by the Prophets, commenced to meet on the first day of the week in memory of His resurrection ; which company has grown from that day until this, and now embraces a multitude which cannot be numbered, from among all the nations of the earth.

Brethren, it is an undeniable fact, that soon after the death of Jesus and the founding and spread of His Church, there came to pass a terrible destruction of Jerusalem, and the expulsion of our people from Palestine, which He had foretold, and while from that time the synagogue, which would none of Him, was, stricken with impotence and barrenness, His Church on the other hand has grown ever more and more, the triumphal march of His Gospel unceasingly advancing from nation to nation, until to-day the name of Christ is proclaimed in the whole world.

Are not these facts sufficient to excite your interest and consideration?

Does it offend you, that we, as Hebrew Christians,” wish to speak with you? Perhaps you are prepared to meet us, if not with stones, with that which is far worse, with words of insult and reproach. Kôfer! Meshummed! (Both terms referring to one who is deemed an apostate by the Jews – IF)

Have done with these senseless thoughtless word-blows! Jews were the living stones of which the Church of the Apostles was built. Jews were the first to confess the Gospel, and to preach it throughout the world.

From Jews have come down to us the writings of the New Testament, and everything belonging to Christianity, and though confessors of Christ are of nearly all races of the earth, yet there is no doubt that Christianity, in its origins, as in its essence and doctrine, genuinely Jewish. So now we, as Jews are believers in Jesus, who has appeared, and in His Salvation, and are, therefore, Hebrew Christians.

For us, the times of the Messiah commenced with the appearance of Jesus, and woe to us if we remained silent to you of this matter, We believe, therefore, we speak,
Brethren, hearken! We hold such to be true Jews who hold to the true Jewish teaching,
We believe in Moses and the prophets. We believe prophecy and its fulfilment, All that is spoken in the Old Testament is, and will be fulfilled in Jesus Christ, and a true Israelite is not he who says, “God is one,” but he who is one with God.”

Theresa May wants same-sex marriage allowed in Northern Ireland

What now for ‘DUP/Conservative Westminster alliance???? Will the DUP own the Bible as their basis for rejecting such a demand from Theresa May? We sincerely hope they will.

The marriage relationship ordained of God, that between a man and a woman, has been perverted by sodomites and is no more a right than is any other breach of God’s commandments. We might as well demand the right to murder, to steal as the ‘right’ to defy God’s law and have a man marry a man or a woman a woman.
“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife (Greek, gune, ‘female’) and they two shall be one flesh,” Ephesians 5:31. (See Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5; Mark 10:7.)

Dr. Joel Beeke and sodomites in the church

Dr Joel Beeke – Why does he mingle with, show little disapprobation of and is happy to promote the writings and the witness of sodomites, despite the many warnings of the sinfulness of such a course and exhortations to repent and cease from such actions???? By Rev Ivan Foster

In truth I cannot answer my own question which heads this article!

Dr Joel Beeke has been, in the eyes of many, a man who has walked in the dangerously compromising footsteps of Dr Billy Graham. As with Dr Graham, there are many who idolise Dr Beeke and can see no wrong in his ways, but rather have built a new ‘doctrine’ around his practices. His failure to obey the Word of God and separate from the company of those whose teaching and practices are contrary to the Word of God and in conflict with the standards of historic Bible Christianity, has been termed but an extension of the duty that stems from the Saviour’s declaration that “Ye are the light of the world,” Matthew 5:14. Read more

Abortions for Northern Irish women to be funded in Wales

How terrible is the rush to offer the services of the NHS to murder the unborn.
It is noticeable that rumours about the Duchess of Cambridge expecting her third child do not refer to a ‘foetus’ but a child.

The unborn child is only called a ‘foetus’ when the abortionist wishes to dehumanise the unborn and make believe that it is something less than a true human being and thereby its destruction is not murder!

A few observations by Rev Ivan Foster

“Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish,” Luke 13:4-5.

It may be seen here that the Lord Jesus not only took note of dreadful events in His day, but He would have others consider them and draw lessons from them.

Many are talking about the lessons to be learned from the tragedy of the fire which destroyed Grenfell Tower in North Kensington, London. All of the lessons related to fire-prevention and the overhauling of the management of such towers.

I have yet to hear of any who have spoken as did the Saviour on the occasion here in Luke 13. Read more

If doctors vote today to scrap abortion limits they’ll betray everything our profession stands for

writes PROFESSOR JOHN CAMPBELL. Published in the Daily Mail – 27 June 2017.

Public trust in British doctors faces a fundamental threat today that could undermine our entire profession.

At the annual conference of the British Medical Association in Bournemouth, around 500 members will vote to lobby the Government to scrap the law that bans abortions after 24 weeks.

If that happens, the lives of an untold number of unborn babies will be threatened. And the regard that society has for modern medicine, with its infinite potential for doing good, will be gravely damaged, not least because this BMA ballot is completely at odds with what the great majority of people in this country want.

Life-long friend says Paisley had doubts about going into Government

impartial_Sept2014(Impartial Reporter, 21st September 2014.)

A life-long friend of Ian Paisley has claimed the former leader of the Democratic Unionist Party who died last week “had doubts” about going into government with Sinn Fein. The 88 year old, one of Northern Ireland’s most prominent and polarising political figures of the last 50 years, died last week following a long period of ill health.

New Church Hall Opened at Kilskeery, 17th August 1974

Report from September ‘74 “Revivalist”

The new Free Presbyterian Hall at Kilskeery, to which there was strong objection at the planning stage has been opened. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Ian Paisley, MP, Moderator of the Free Presbyterian Church, in the presence of several hundred people from many parts of Fermanagh and Tyrone and farther afield.

About half-a-dozen RUC men were on duty controlling traffic and a UDR patrol was in Kilskeery village. The new building, costing approximately £4,000, was built almost entirely by voluntary effort on the site given by Mr. Robert Edwards. It was designed, by Mr. Ivan Morrison, a committee member of Bethel Free Presbyterian, Church, Enniskillen. Read more….

Free Presbyterian Church Early History Video

Below is a video presentation of the history of the begining of the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster. Under God, Dr. Paisley played a leading role in these events.

Dr Ian Paisley has passed away

Dr. Paisley 2004“The death of Dr Ian Paisley has just been announced by His wife, Eileen.

In a statement, carried on the BBC Northern Ireland news site, Baroness Paisley said her “beloved husband” had “entered his eternal rest” on Friday morning. “Although ours is the grand hope of reunion, naturally as a family we are heartbroken,” she said. “We loved him and he adored us, and our earthly lives are forever changed. “Baroness Paisley said that his funeral would be private.

The memories of the man that I would wish to retain and cherish are those of his days as a mighty preacher when it was my privilege to sit under his ministry in gospel missions in tents and halls from one end of Northern Ireland to the other.

Those were days of conversions, of God’s people separating from the apostasy of the ecumenical churches and an exposing of the Romeward trend. Those days will receive scant mention in the profiles of Dr Paisley which will feature prominently in the Northern Ireland news media over the next few days.

But they will be the memories cherished by a very large, though diminishing, number of people in Ulster who supported and prayed for Dr Paisley over the years.”

To the family we offer our sincere condolences at this time.

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens, 2 Corinthians 5:1.

Ivan Foster.

Memories of a protest 45 years ago

img019 - Version 2Some little time ago, a sister in Christ in the United States sent me a link to a recording on SermonAudio of a report I gave in Martyrs Memorial Free Presbyterian Church of my experiences during a protest in St Paul’s Cathedral, London, when Cardinal Heenan, head of the Roman Catholic church in England, became the first Roman Catholic prelate to preach in the cathedral.

It stirred memories as I listened to that recording, taking me back, as it did, some 45 years.

Dr Paisley was leading the protest and also the meeting in the Martyrs where various ministers gave a report of the protest. Sadly, only my report appears on the SermonAudio site.
As a result of the protest, I was taken to court under a very old ecclesiastical law, and fined. At least that is what I think happened to me. It is so long ago and court appearances for Free Presbyterians were so common back then, that I have no clear recollection of the outcome of the court proceedings. One thing I am sure of, the magistrate did not give me a medal!! Read more

A decisive verse in the “Head Covering” controversy

“But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered,” 1 Corinthians 11:5-6.

There are many good articles on the issue of “Head Covering”, one of which may be read here.

What we wish to do is really just an exercise in simple logic and the understanding of God’s Word in a common sense manner. What Paul says here in verse 6 can have only one meaning. Read more

It has been acknowledged by the charities benefiting from donations raised via the “The Ice Bucket Challenge” that Both ALS, and in the UK, MND, which are sister organisations aiming to raise awareness of the neurodegenerative disease, known as Motor Neurone Disease in the UK, support the legal use of research that uses embryonic stem cells, while recognising the “significant moral, ethical and religious concerns” that the research methods raise.

That being so, Bible Christians should surely avoid engagement in this exercise.

2. It has become a vain exercise in self promotion and seen to be such by many commentators.

Christian, please remember the words of the Lord Jesus. “Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly,” Matthew 6:1-4.

Surely it can be seen that the whole “The Ice Bucket Challenge” has become an exercise which flies in the face of these words.

Integrated Education – An unscriptural choice!

by Rev Brian McClung

Much comment has been made in many circles, in recent days, on the subject of Integrated Education. There is presently a growing lobby who desire this form of education and are becoming ever more public and vocal in their demands concerning it. An editorial in the Belfast Telegraph called for this form of education to be the mainstream. The First Minister Peter Robinson has also voiced his support for it.

Integrated Education is a choice that every evangelical Christian should recoil away instantly from. This is easily seen when those who support and desire this form of education are considered….Read more.

Criminal Justice Bill Consultation

The Justice Committee, Northern Ireland Assembly, Stormont, Belfast.

Mr Jim Wells, a brother in Christ and member of the Northern Ireland Assembly, has put forward a proposed amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill in July 2014.

Abortion in Northern Ireland is a criminal offence, and Mr Wells’ proposed amendment makes clear that a defence to the criminal charge of abortion would not be available to anyone who performed an abortion for fee or reward at a private medical centre.

In Northern Ireland, expectant mothers receive world-class medical care in our hospitals because both the unborn child and mother are treated as patients.

The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that private clinics, such as the Marie Stopes Centre which opened its doors in Belfast in October 2012, cannot legally carry out abortions in Northern Ireland.

Any proposed amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill requires full consultation to ensure all viewpoints are aired and considered. Therefore, the Justice Committee is currently running a public consultation, seeking the public’s views and comments on the proposed amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill.

We urge you to please sign our petition and thus state your support for the Mr Wells’ proposed amendment and register your opposition to the Marie Stopes Centre remaining open in Belfast. We ask you to promote this public consultation and the need for submissions amongst your friends and encourage them to support Mr Wells’ proposed amendment.

Please note the following:

  • A petition form is available here for anyone who wishes to download it and print it out to use to collect signatures within their church. We would especially urge Free Presbyterians to make use this form.
  • All petition forms have to be with the clerk of the Justice Committee by Friday 12th September.
  • Send petitions to: The Justice Committee Clerk, Room 242, Parliament Buildings, Ballymiscaw, Stormont, Belfast, BT4 3XX
