‘Ex-BBC presenter Huw Edwards pleads guilty to making indecent images of children’
The ‘Independent’ of July 31st, reports: ‘The former BBC News at Ten anchor, 62, admitted at Westminster Magistrates’ Court to having 41 indecent images of children on his phone, seven of which were category A, the very worst kind.
Also among the 377 sexual images discovered by police – sent to him by 25-year-old convicted paedophile Alex Williams from Merthyr Tydfil, south Wales, between December 2020 and August 2021 – were 12 category B images, and 22 category C images.
Five of the category A images featured children aged between 13 and 15, while at least two were moving images that depicted a child believed to be “between seven and nine”, the court was told.’
It is also reported that he faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to making indecent images of children.
Paid in Full
Despite knowing this about the pervert, the BBC continued paying this man his full and excessively high wages until his final resignation in April of this year.
That makes the BBC complicit in his wickedness!
The BBC news site has the following on it: “The BBC director general has defended the decision not to sack Huw Edwards, despite knowing that the presenter had been arrested in November over the most serious category of indecent images of children.”
How can they defend such a decision. If he had only stolen a bottle of milk he should have been sacked. His bosses knew that his crime was much more serious than that! They knew his crime was one against children!
Sham Shame!
After Edwards pleaded guilty, the corporation said: “The BBC is shocked to hear the details which have emerged in court today. There can be no place for such abhorrent behaviour and our thoughts are with all those affected.”
It said it had been “made aware in confidence” in November 2023 that Edwards “had been arrested on suspicion of serious offences and released on bail whilst the police continued their investigation”.
That is rank hypocrisy! It serves to show how untrustworthy the national radio and television is. Such a statement indicates that it has no compunction in propagating the most profuse lies and deceptions!
He is referred to in a number of news articles as a ‘devout Christian’ and a regular attender at church. He worships in a Welsh-speaking congregation in London. The ‘Telegraph’ reported back in November 2013, that the “BBC newsreader sings Welsh-language hymns at Jewin Presbyterian Church every Sunday with his children.” The church in question is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Wales, also known as the Calvinistic Methodist Church.
Apostasy
That denomination has moved far from the theology of its founders. The Calvinistic Methodist movement has its origins in the 18th-century Welsh Methodist revival. The early movement was led principally by Welsh revivalist Daniel Rowland, who was influenced by the teachings of the Welsh Methodist leader Howell Harris and the theologian John Calvin. As such, Calvinistic Methodism places a strong emphasis on the sovereignty of God and the Calvinist doctrine of predestination.
However, like most churches, there has been a marked departure from the Bible. ‘Wikipedia’ states that, “The church is active in discussing social issues within Wales. In 2013, the denomination responded to a consultation on blessing same-sex unions. In response, it decided not to have an official doctrine on the matter, allowing each local congregation to have its own practice regarding whether or not to bless same-sex unions. This position led to a protest from some of its members and the resignation of officials of the denomination, who saw, in this decision, the permission for the celebration of marriages between people of the same sex. The church has ordained women as ministers since 1978.”
This helps explain the ‘devotion to church attendance’ this evil man had!!!
