“Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us,” 2 Kings 22:13.
I read the chapter 22 of 2 Kings this morning. I was made aware of the fact that the news brought to godly Josiah by Huldah the prophetess that fearful and final judgment would break upon Judah very soon, the king was stirred to do what he could to reform his kingdom, in the time that remained.
The prophetess had declared the Lord’s determined purpose in judgment.
“And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read: because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched. But to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard; because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD. Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again,” 2 Kings 22:15-20.
Floods in Spain
There is a flood that has broken forth upon our nation like that which recently wrought such devastation, grieve and misery upon Spain, only it is even more destructive and catastrophic for it is the eternal wrath of God that will fall upon men for their defiance of Him.
King Josiah did much good and saw a turning in the nation but it was but temporary for the next generation reverted back to apostasy and rebellion as was seen in the lives of his sons.
I believe we had a ‘Josiah-like’ reformation here in Ulster in the 1960s to the early 1980s, but it is passing away and there is a reverting back to the evils that were rejected back in those glory days!
Despite the repeated warnings of the encroaching inroads of the falsehoods rejected by the Free Presbyterian Church so half a century ago:
‘Few there are who seem to care,
And fewer still to pray!’
I find myself unable to keep up with the torrent of shameful news reports which highlight the descent of the nation into the grossest of iniquity. Doubtless the weariness and the limiting of ability that comes with old age plays its part in that failure but I believe that chiefly it is that the tide of inquiry is mounting ever higher!
Here are some of the recent clear indications of the perversion, duplicity and sin that is endorsed and eulogised in our land!
Sincerely in Christ’s name,

CHURCH OF ENGLAND ACCUSED OF COVERING UP CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN!
The ‘National Church’ in England, of whom the king is a titular head, is a cesspool of inquiry as is seen in this report from the ‘Family Education Trust’.
It is the manifestation of that same depraved corruption that Jude said had invaded the ‘church’ in his day.
“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ,” Jude verse 4.
What hope is there for a nation when such behaviour is openly practised but little is really done in response to its exposure!
Here is the opening sentences of that ‘Family Education Trust’ report.
“Of late there have been many reports of the shameful sins practiced in our nation. I cannot but deal with them in a collective and limited and cursory manner.
Here are some of those reports with a brief comment that I trust will stir us as did Huldah’s words stir Josiah.
This week an independent review has been published into how the Church of England covered up the abhorrent abuse of more than 115 children and young men by John Smyth, who was ‘the most prolific child abuser associated with the Church of England’.
Church of England Covered Up Crimes
Smyth, a barrister and lay reader, abused his victims while volunteering on Christian camps across five decades in three different countries. He subjected victims (including his own children) to physical, sexual and psychological attacks that caused them permanent damage.
He died aged 77 in Cape Town in 2018 while being investigated by Hampshire Police and so was ‘never brought to justice’, the review said, despite Church of England authorities ‘at the highest level’ being aware of Smyth’s abuse.”
SODOMY IN THE ECUMENICAL CHURCHES
The perverted state of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, with which some Free Presbyterians are happy to maintain links, is very obvious and indicative of what is happening in all the ecumenical churches.
The PCI’s pathetic responses to sodomite perversion within its ranks is seen in that it does not call this wickedness for what it is and condemn it in the light of of God’s Word, but rather administers mere ‘slaps on the wrist’ on those who openly flaunt their perversion.
Of course, even the totally inadequate response of the PCI to the corruption in its midst, is deemed as inhuman and barbaric, as is demonstrated in the article I have attached by a stupid female journalist with the ‘Belfast Telegraph’.
The Lord’s response to such wickedness will not be so puny as that of the PCI! His response toward sodomy has been clearly demonstrated for all who engage in it to see and take warning.
“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire,” Jude 1:7.
MICHELE O’NEILL’S HYPOCRISY
The news that Sinn Féin’s Michele O’Neill plans to attend this year’s cenotaph gathering in Belfast where there is a remembering of those who fell in two world wars and subsequent conflicts, including those murdered by the IRA in its recent terrorist campaign, is deemed a mere travesty by any Unionist with an ounce of wit. As one one writer of a letter to a newspaper said, she will soon be seen at the graveside of a terrorist who paid the price of his wickedness and was killed while engaged in terrorism and murder, eulogising that terrorist bravery!
Two-faced falls far short of describing Michele O’Neill and Sinn Fein generally!
However, the true heart of her party was seen in a letter of protest by her fellow Sinn Feiners denouncing her attendance at the cenotaph. Their outburst reveals the true heart of Irish Republicanism. Their outburst show that they lack the guileful pretence of their leader!
David aptly describes those of O’Neill’s ilk.
“The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good. He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.,” Psalm 36:1-4.
“Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.,” Psalm 56:5-7.
