This is one of the national press headlines in the latest development in the ‘undoing’ of Brexit saga!
The Brexit surrender begins: Starmer ‘gives French access to UK waters for 12 years’ and is set to commit Britain to obeying Brussels’ rules on food
A UK-wide referendum took place in June 2016, in which 51.89 per cent voted in favour of leaving the EU and 48.11 per cent voted to remain a member state.
At that time I published a statement from the Sovereign Grace Advent Testimony on the matter of the UK leaving the EU.
It read as follows:

Europe in Bible Prophecy
The subject of Europe is very prominent in the news at present and that interest has only increased not diminished since the outcome of the EU referendum has been decided.
We are constantly being told by all political leaders what this result means, what is going to happen now and where it will all lead?
It seems that everyone has an opinion to give or a statement to make on the subject!
All of which has only led to greater confusion, division and uncertainty.
But the question that should concern us as Bible believing Christians is – What saith the Scriptures?
What does the Word of God have to say on the subject of the future of Europe? That should be our response to every situation and subject in life and our nation’s membership of the European Union should be no different.
Despite what many think or say, even many Christians, the Word of God has much to say about the future of Europe and the Nations around the Mediterranean Sea. God has not left us in the dark with regard to these things.
In the prophetic Scriptures God has given us a full description of things to come.
In summary – this Union of Nations will:
• Bring to a close the Times of the Gentiles spoken of by the Lord Jesus (Luke 21:24).
• It will be a revival of the old Roman Empire (Daniel 2:28, 33, 41- 43 & 7:24).
• It will cover the same area around the Mediterranean Sea as the old Roman Empire. An area known to students of Prophecy as the Roman Earth or the Prophetic Earth (Daniel 7:2 & 3 & Luke 2:1).
• When it reaches its final formation it will be divided into ten regions (Daniel 2:41 & 7:24).
• It will ultimately become the Kingdom of the Anti-Christ and only those who take his mark will be able to buy or sell (Revelation 13:15 -17).
• It will be destroyed by the Coming again of the Lord Jesus (Dan 2:44 & 45).
The Sovereign Grace Advent Testimony (SGAT) has borne witness to this Prophetic Truth for almost one hundred years without any need to revise its message or outlook as world events have changed.
In the light of all that the Lord has revealed to us about the future of Europe we believe that this is something of which no Christian would want to be a part.

Since 2016, I have often stated that ‘Brexit’, in essence, will be ‘undone’ one day and there will be a rejoining of the EU by the UK, or at least elements of it.
The present party in government in the UK is the Labour Party. It is led by Keir Starmer, a lawyer who is as two-faced as Belfast’s ‘Albert clock!
Anti-Brexit
He is anti-Brexit and cares little for any decision by the nation some 9 years ago and is accused by many in senior political positions as being determined, in an underhand manner, to effectively ignore the referendum and little by little, reunite the UK with the EU.
UK is the loser
As may be seen in the latest agreement that Keir Starmer has struck with the EU, the UK is the loser!
It must be seen that this is but the latest in a long line of moral, political and financial setbacks suffered by the UK in recent years.
The flood of illegal immigrants, which is costing the nation tens of millions of pounds, the introduction of Trump’s ‘tariffs’ and now these concessions to France and the EU, are all indications that the nation is reaping the harvest of abandoning the Word of God that once was rightly the dominating influence amongst the populace!
Promises and Threats
What the Bible says is true in both its promises and its warnings!
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: and all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God,” Deuteronomy 28:1-2.
“He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein,” Psalm 107:33-34.
“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people,” Proverbs 14:34.
The Word of God remains true and the fulfilment of its threats remain in operation irrespective of the rejection of it by nations of the earth !
This will be seen and understood one day as the Psalmist has stated.
“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God,” Psalm 9:17.
