Those sodomites in open, defiant rebellion against the Lord marched in Enniskillen today (Saturday 6th), to wickedly celebrate that which the Lord abominates.
Christians were there to protest and to proclaim God’s Word and expose the dreadful errors of these foolish and benighted people.

The sum of Heaven’s view of the lifestyle of the sodomites and their ilk is given us in Jude’s epistle.
“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire,” verses 6-7.
The apostle Peter stated the same truth.
“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; and spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly,” 2 Peter 2:4-6.
From these statements of Holy Scripture we may learn:
1. The sin of sodomy is equated with that of the angels who followed the devil in his rebellion against the Lord.
Sodomy is the very height of wickedness, a casting aside of that which God has ordained, a rebelling against the role that God has ordained for men and women.
2. That unseen judgment of the fallen angels has been demonstrated in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrha.
Mankind has not seen the judgment that befell the rebelling angels but there is a record given us in the Holy Scriptures and in ruins of Sodom and Gomorrha, within the Dead Sea, of the same wrath by which the Lord judged the angels.
3. Those destroyed by the fire from heaven that fell upon Sodom and Gomorrha, remain ‘reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day’.
“Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities,” Genesis 19:24-25.
Death did not end their existence! No, the citizens of those evil cities are today in chains, awaiting “the judgment of the great day”!
4. The record of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrha has been given by the Lord to serve as “an example” of what awaits those who rejoice in and celebrate this sin.
The Greek word translated ‘example’ appears only here in the New Testament. It literally means ‘a specimen’.
What happened some 4000 years ago, serves as an example to all who commit the same sins. It is a warning that they are to expect the same punishment, if they repent not of their wickedness.

Here is how a letter of protest from Bethel, Clogher Valley, Kesh and Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Churches and also Enniskillen Independent Methodist Church, appeared in the local newspaper, ‘The Impartial Reporter’.
WE OBJECT TO THE PRIDE FESTIVAL
Fermanagh Pride -What does the Bible say?
DEAR Sir,
It is sad to learn that Fermanagh’s Pride Festival has been planned again for Enniskillen in September.
This event is evidence of the decaying principles of morality and traditional family values in society
God’s Word teaches that homosexuality is both sinful and contrary to nature. Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-28. When God created mankind at the beginning of time, marriage was ordained to be between one man and one woman. Genesis 2:24. Homosexuality is a sinful departure from God’s institution of marriage and something that God’s law forbids.
We oppose Fermanagh Pride because it aims to advance that which is contrary to God’s Word and will be detrimental to family life. Proverbs 14:34.
Loving God and our neighbours means that all lifestyles contrary to the Bible must be warned against.
The Gospel is the remedy for sin, of which we are all guilty in thought, word and deed. Romans 3:23 The penalty for sin is separation from God and eternal punishment in hell after this life. Romans 6:23.
However, the good news of the Gospel is that God in love has provided a way of salvation from sin. He accomplished this by Christ’s sacrifice upon the cross, when as a substitute He paid the penalty for our sin. Romans 5:8.
Christ’s resurrection is proof that His sacrifice satisfied the just demands of God’s law. Christ alone is sufficient to save us from our sin. To receive this salvation, we must repent of our sins and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Mark 1:15.
These final lines of the letter submitted to the newspaper were omitted, by the Editor, from the published letter.
1 Corinthians 6:11 tells of those who trusted Christ as their Saviour, and repented of their sin, including that of homosexuality, such received pardon for sin, peace with God, grace to live for God’s glory and the assurance of eternal life in heaven. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
1 Corinthians chapter 6, has this to say regarding the wickedness celebrated by today’s sodomite parade:
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God,” verses 9-11.
Accepted
That which is sweeping the world and has become accepted by today’s generation, is but the dark practices found amongst the blind, pagan nations long ago.
The spread of the practice of sodomy and its related perversions is a clear indication of a return to heathen darkness by those nations which, up until recent times, enjoyed the light of the gospel.
The rejection of Bible Christianity, led by the modernistic and liberal preachers, who have invaded the pulpits where once the true gospel was taught, has ushered in the dark practices from which nations, granted gospel light were delivered!
The gospel brought deliverance from sinful practices by the mercy, power and pardoning grace of God. The removal of God’s truth will bring only misery, corruption and eventual damnation under the judgment !
Kindness
The protest was not a display of anger and hatred but rather an example of the Christian doing what they are required to do by the Lord: BEAR WITNESS TO THE TRUTH OF GOD!
It was an act of kindness toward rebellious and defiant neighbours who defy God and who will, if they do not turn and repent, bring upon themselves the same fire that damned Sodom and Gomorrha!
