Delusive DUP!!

DUP will ‘stand up for Christian ethos’ after Supreme Court rules Religious Education not ‘objective, critical or pluralist’

So declared a headline in the ‘Belfast Newsletter’, 19th November 2025.

If it were true, and it most certainly is not, it would denote a most spectacular change of policy on the part of the DUP.

The DUP has for many years now been actively pursuing a raft of policies which are very much opposed to the Word of God.

It promotes and endorses the perversion of ’sodomy’ and associated perversions. It has been the means of funding sodomite organisations. It has defied the Word of God in its uniting with Sinn Fein in an ‘egomaniacal’ power-sharing deal.

The ‘Newsletter’ article declares that the ‘DUP has said it will “stand up” for the Christian ethos of schools.’

The ‘ethos’ of the state schools is not Christian by any means but it has long been ‘ecumenical and modernistic’ and Bible-denying!

The teaching of what the Bible says is not on the state school agenda. It cannot be, since there is a denial of the divine creation of the world and instead children are taught that ‘Evolution’ rather than ‘Creationism’ is the true source of the universe!

If the ‘falsehood’ that is passed off as ‘Christianity’ in the state schools was done away with, it would be no bad thing. At least one less lie would be in the curriculum.

However, for the Christian it means that the situation that prevails within the state system of education is still far removed from the ‘classroom’ in which the Lord would have Christians place their offspring!

DUP’s Deputy Leader Michelle McIlveen is reported as saying: “For generations, Christian values have shaped the moral character of our school system. Through assemblies, school activities and the everyday life of the classroom, those values have helped form young people with integrity and respect for others. That heritage is not something we apologise for, nor is it something we are prepared to see diminished.”

Another DUP politician, Carla Lockhart MP, stated similar nonsense.

“We are very fortunate in Northern Ireland to have an Education Minister who understands the importance of those Christian foundations and who is committed to safeguarding them within the framework of the law. That leadership will be essential as we consider the implications of today’s judgment and determine the next steps.

Parents have always had the ability to opt out of collective worship if they wish, and that will continue. But despite today’s ruling, our determination remains firm. We will continue to work to ensure that Christian values remain central to education in Northern Ireland, protecting the heritage that has served our society well for decades.”

Her party has in recent times ensured that we are on the cusp of losing our Protestant heritage and being swallowed into a ‘United Ireland’ as a result of its opening the door whereby Sinn Fein now hold power in Stormont. A process of ‘Gaelicising’, paid for by public purse, is under way, irrespective of the opinion of Protestants upon whom it is being imposed!

Furthermore, the DUP aided our being ever more excluded from the United Kingdom, of which we were once an integral part, by its welcoming of the ‘Windsor Agreement’!

The DUP are constantly seeking to present a most positive view of the state of affairs in Northern Ireland when the opposite, an ever more distressing situation, is the truth!

The moral environment that has been developed within the state school may be witnessed outside virtually any state school, at the time pupils are leaving at the end of the school day. The foulest of language fills the air and ill-mannered behaviour is all too common.

We may not have descended to the depths of the knife crimes and violence and drug-related murder, all too common on the streets of England, but that will invariably come about!

Christian Environment

The only environment into which a Christian parent should place their child is one in which the Lord’s directives are adhered to.

“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates,” Deuteronomy 6:6-9.

“Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: that the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: that they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments,” Psalm 78:1-7.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it,” Proverbs 22:6.

In their defence of the state system of religious education, it is clear that the DUP members do not obey these commands!
