Tuam: Ireland’s secret burial sham
It was a story of institutional inhumanity – which, at first, many found unbelievable.
Hundreds of babies and children, buried in an unmarked mass grave, at the site of an institution for unmarried mothers near the west coast of Ireland.

St Mary’s Home operated in Tuam, County Galway, from 1925 until 1961.“In the early decades of the Irish state, founded in 1922, the Catholic Church held an immensely powerful position – and that meant those who fell outside the demanded norms of the Church, and society, faced huge social stigma.”
This article makes sad reading indeed!
But it is not the first exposure of the cruelty, abuse and total antichristianity of the institutions of the ‘Roman Catholic Church’, not only in Ireland but WORLDWIDE!
The attitude and actions of Rome toward these unfortunate women is in complete contrast to the kindness of God toward undeserving women when we remember that the progenitors of the Saviour included Rahab the harlot.
In Matthew’s genealogy of Christ, Rahab is mentioned as the great grandmother of David. “And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab (Rahab); and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse,” Matthew 1:5. Ruth, a woman brought up in Moabitish idolatry, was David’s grandmother. Christ is called “the son of David”, Matthew 1:1.
Mary Magdalene, out of whom was cast seven devils (Mark 16:9) was one of the Saviour’s most devoted servants.
Heaven is going to be filled with sinners pardoned from great sin and washed in the blood of the Lamb.
“And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb,” Revelation 7:13-14.
Paul the apostle said of himself: “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief,” 1 Timothy 1:15.
Contrast!
What a difference to Rome’s treatment of the women of ‘Tuam’ are these I have referred to as enjoying the mercy of God!
Rome demonises the likes of Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Knox, Hugh Latimer and myriads of others, many of whom paid with their lives at the hands of Rome, for their stand for God’s truth!
These men were but the vanguard of millions of humble men and women, who cast aside the superstitions of Romanism and its man-made, devil-inspired religious rituals of which there is no trace in the Bible, except in the practices of the heathen, condemned by God!
The Irish Roman Catholics, like millions of others across the world, have paid dearly for their loyalty to the priests of Rome and have been made to suffer greatly for that loyalty.
The victims of Tuam are but a token of the suffering, that has been going on for centuries ever since the religion of the ‘Bishop of Rome’ replaced the teachings of Patrick in Ireland.
I can say in all good faith that the genuine Protestant, with his/her awareness of being delivered from blindness and sin by the grace of God, desires with all their heart that their Roman Catholic neighbours would experience that same spiritual awakening.
The Christians in Ephesus were informed by Paul of how it was with them before they were converted to faith in Christ: “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ,” Ephesians 2:12-13.
May the Lord, in His great kindness, visit Ireland with a spiritual awakening that will bring deliverance from the dark bondage of the utter hypocrisy of Roman Catholicism.
