Sir David Attenborough has recently become the recipient of the ‘Champions of the Earth Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to research, documentation, and advocacy for the protection of nature and its restoration.’ So pontificates the the ‘big-wigs’ of the UN!
David Attenborough has spent the most of his 95 years propounding one of the greatest lies that have ever issued forth from the mouth of the devil. He is the modern apostle of the ludicrous theory of ‘Evolution’! His television programmes and documentaries have been viewed worldwide and that for many years. The revelation of wild animals and creatures of all kinds in their native environment that his programmes have presented are ‘par excellence’!
However, the pleasure that such studies bring is more than marred by his constant pushing of his notions on evolution. His explanations of the origins of the unique features and physical endowments of many creatures are most ludicrous for they beg the question of how the creatures survived until they were able to ‘evolve’ the unique physical features without which they cannot live?
If David Attenborough has earned a title, it is ‘CLOWN OF THE EARTH’!
As I have thought about this man I have often pondered Paul’s words to the Corinthian Christians. “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe,” 1 Corinthians 1:18-21.
The Evolutionist sneers at the Bible believer and considers him a fool for believing the record of Holy Scripture regarding the creation of the universe. But in doing so, they are like the inhabitant of the regions of the Equator, who in times past, would have sneered at the idea of snow!!
Evolution is but a ‘theory’, that is a hypothesis, a conjecture, an assumption, as to how the universe came into existence, however, it is universally taught in state schools and colleges as ‘fact’! A ‘scientific fact’ is something that must be verified by the observations of independent witnesses of the event referred to.
That can never be said of the beginning of all things since there was none but the Creator there at that moment.
The Christian readily agrees that what the Bible teaches is also a ‘theory’. However, the Christian fervently believes that the geological records clearly substantiate the Bible’s divinely inspired account of the beginning of Creation.
David Attenborough and his adoring acolytes make the most ludicrous and laughable claims regarding what they claim is the ‘evolution’ of one species into another so that all creatures have one original source and by a process, of which there is not the slightest grain of evidence, they metamorphosed from one group of creatures into another and continued that process until there is the huge variety of genres that we see today. However, inexplicably, that process has STOPPED. There is no evidence of evolution taking place today. Nor is there an evidence in all the fossil records of that ‘half-way’ specimen which presents a picture of evolution at work! The proverbial ‘missing link’ has been assiduously sought by the evolutionists since the emergence of the notion but, while some have gone so far as to manufacture a purported ‘missing link’ such as ‘Piltdown Man’ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piltdown_Man) it remains just what it is in truth – a myth!
On the other hand, an honest study of the record of the fossils contained in sedimentary rock does not support evolution but rather supports the Bible’s account of the creation. The claims of the Bible regarding creation are very clear indeed. Those claims form a fundamental and central doctrine of Christianity. If God has said it, then that utterly outweighs all the fervently and repeated claims of David Attenborough as far as the true Christian is concerned!
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth,” Genesis 1:1.
“For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it,” Exodus 20:11.
“Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee,” Nehemiah 9:6.
“The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them,” Psalm 89:11.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made,” John 1:1-3.
“And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: they shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; and as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail,” Hebrews 1:10-12.
These are but a few of the many times this same truth is stated in the Word of God.
Evolution is a denial of God. It is the creed of the atheist of which poor, blinded David Attenborough is a leading devotee. He has spent a life-time seeking to preserve from decay and decline that of which God has said: “And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: they shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment,” Hebrews 1:10-11. Neither David Attenborough nor all his ‘Green’ allies will lengthen by one minute the duration of the earth which God has declared will one day ‘perish’ and ‘wax old as doth a garment’.
We do not exonerate the evil excesses of man which have led to the present deterioration in the fabric of the earth and the seas. That is the work of man, the greedy vandal whose total disregard for God and His creation has brought about the present state of the earth. However, sinful man’s activities, of which the environmental crisis facing mankind is but one element, will bring down God’s wrath upon His creation and by it a ‘new heavens and a new earth’. Just as the flood of Noah’s day did much to cleanse the earth back then so, in a much more effective manner the Lord will purge His creation, but this time by fire. To that event we are constantly “Looking for and hasting unto.” That is “the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness,” 2 Peter 3:12-13.
The Bible provides us with a record of how all things began but it also provides us with a wonderful revelation of how all things will end.
Poor David Attenborough has spent his adult life displaying to the world his ignorance of the first of these truths and his rejection of the latter!
It is with genuine grief of heart that I observe regarding the man that, should he die in his unbelief and rejection of Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world, then it must be said of him: “For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him. Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish,” Psalm 49:17-20.
