Laugh yourself to heaven at Newtownbreda Baptist Church / Comedy Club

In this modernistic, liberal age, many forms of worldly entertainment have been brought in to try to attract a crowd.

These can be quite successful (though that is absolutely no excuse for employing them), as the popularity of churches like the Vineyard and various community / fellowship type churches has proven.

Mostly, it entails the introduction of worldly music with a thin veneer of Christianity from the worship bands.

However, a far more offensive to God form of worldly entertainment was brought into a Baptist church in Belfast on Sunday, 10th February.

For Newtownbreda Baptist Church brought in a stand-up comedian to take their Sunday night service two Lord’s days ago.

Yes, you are reading that correctly, this is not a joke – Newtownbreda Baptist Church became Newtownbreda Comedy Club for the night as a stand-up comic took the platform in this most modern, trendy, hipster of Baptist churches. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

‘Who cares if you’re Protestant or Catholic? Rome is an inspiration’, says Arch-apostate of Canterbury

In a shocking rejection of the precious gospel heritage the entire UK is blessed to have, when asked his opinion on Church of England vicars switching to Rome, the following is what this reprobate had to say:

“Who cares? I don’t mind about all that. Particularly if people go to Rome, which is such a source of inspiration.

“I had an email from a very old friend, an Anglican priest who has decided to go to Rome. I wrote back saying: ‘how wonderful! As long as you are following your vocation, you are following Christ’. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

‘If hell exists, it is empty’ – disgraceful claim of Presbyterian minister Rev Ernie Rea

In an interview with the Belfast Telegraph in the latest of the weekly feature on religious figures from Northern Ireland, Rev Ernie Rea propagated his heretical views on hell.

When asked if he had any fears about hell, he said: “If Hell exists, it is empty. A loving God could not condemn one of his children to everlasting fire.”

This statement is so spiritually misleading and theologically heretical that it is truly a disgrace.

One must wonder if he has ever actually read the Bible. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

News review for week ending February 15th, 2019.

“God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet,” Nahum 1:2-3.

Rend Collective to perform at ‘Christian’ camp celebrating the Papist Mass

The leading ‘Christian’ rock band Rend Collective (pictured) are to take the stage at three allegedly Christian summer camps which will offer the Roman Catholic Mass to those in attendance.

Rend Collective will perform at the Soul Survivor summer camps to be held in Peterborough and Stafford in England in July and August.

In a ‘Leaders Handbook’ provided on the Soul Survivor website, it is stated that, on the final day of the camp, when a Communion service is held, “Catholic Mass is also available”. Read more on the Protestant Revival website…

East Belfast Mission and Rev Andrew Irvine give themselves over to Rome

A former big shot on Belfast City Council, Rev Andrew Irvine has been brought on board at the East Belfast Mission to help boost its income.

And on Wednesday, 23 January, Rev Andrew Irvine engaged in his mean ecumenical compromise by preaching at a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity service in a Romanist chapel in Lurgan in County Armagh.

Rev Andrew Irvine was the speaker in the service in St Paul’s Roman Catholic church in the town.

How exactly such compromise can be justified is frankly remarkable. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

“And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation,” Exodus 34:5-7.

The Bible-Believer’s response to the deepening apostasy

The synopsis of a sermon preached by Rev. Ivan Foster at a “Christian Watch” meeting in St John’s Wood Baptist church, London on Saturday 20th September 2003. It would appear from Ezekiel chapter 8: 1, that a conference of sorts had been convened in Ezekiel’s home. “And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.” Read more….

So-called ‘evangelical’ Bishop Harold Miller promotes unity with Rome

Every year in the latter part of January, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity takes centre stage in many of the ecumenical churches, and 2019 was no different.

Indeed, it was the subject of one of the first posts mounted on this page last year and, sadly, once again this year we have the sad duty of documenting the wretched compromise carried out in the name of ‘unity’ in many of the churches up and down our land.

We are aware of at least eight ecumenical events which took place in Northern Ireland throughout the week, though it is more than likely there were more. Read more
