DUP’s Donaldson appears to welcome possible Pope visit to Northern Ireland: I don’t think the Protestant community reaction would be negative
The DUP is setting out the ‘Welcome Mat’ for the pope. Changed days indeed and not for the better!
Mr Donaldson’s Church Confession states: “There is no other head of the Church, but the Lord Jesus Christ; nor can the Pope of Rome, in any sense, be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalteth himself, in the Church. against Christ and all that is called God.” (WCF chapter 25:Paragraph 6.)

The Vision of the Sins of the Rulers of Jerusalem
(Ezekiel 11 – 14)
A message preached by Dr John Douglas at the Sovereign Grace Advent Testimony afternoon meeting of its Spring Conference, April 28th, 2017.
The chapters chosen for our subject are plainly instructive and carry words particularly pertinent to the age in which we live. Yet Ezekiel is a prophecy avoided by all too many of God’s people who feel these visions and these prophecies are beyond them. We do well to remember Romans 15:4, ‘Whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning… ’ Here are words we ought to keep in mind because the Lord says them. While the verse is in the New Testament, the reference is primarily to that which is written in the Old Testament. We are talking about things written specifically for our learning. When you think of that instruction in terms of Ezekiel, it is amazing. The Lord had us in mind in the writing of these chapters in Ezekiel. We can each look at chapters 11 and 12 etc. and say, Here are chapters of the Word of God given for my own edification. Read more…

Jim Allister: SF wants Irish language legislation that opens the way to endless legal challenges
Mr Allister emphasises a very important point regarding the Sinn Fein’s demand for an ‘Irish Language Act’.
Readers should understand that in Northern Ireland the Irish Language is taught in every Roman Catholic controlled school and that by public funding. In fact teachers’ wages, building costs and all school supplies have been provided out of public funding for over 50 years, something that does not happen for Protestant schools such as our own here in Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Church. We must finance ALL our expenses. As well as this, there are 29 fully funded ‘Irish-medium’ schools in Northern Ireland. Such favourable financial provision is totally beyond the reach of the Protestant population.
Only Rome would have the brass neck to continue whining and bleating about discrimination and demanding more, of what others never had, in such circumstances!
They are indeed like the crocodile – insatiable!!!! Read more….
Number of Catholics living in Ireland falling, Census data reveals
The number of Roman Catholics in the Republic of Ireland has dropped over the last 5 years by 132,220 while the number of those who said that they had no religion rose to 481,388, over twice that recorded in the census 5 years previously.
I have no doubt that this is the harvest of the awful scandals within the Roman Catholic Church. Read more…

Christian Companionship
“I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts,” Psalm 119:63.
A study based upon a sermon preached at the morning meeting in Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Church, 2nd September 1990, by Rev Ivan Foster.
This section of the psalm (verses 57-64) is headed by the Hebrew letter ‘Cheth’. It refers to a ‘fence’ or ‘an allotted portion’. Job 1:8-10 illustrates this. “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land,” Job 1:8-10. The word ‘hedge’ is translated ‘fenced’ in Job 10:11. Read more…
